Friend today I went to my city Almora which is a beautiful and mind calming place located in Uttarakhand, country Indiaa famous and beautiful temple situated since very ancient time to be 1000 year.
I want to share this with you all. I think you too would like to know about such new places and new things.
**INTRODUCTION ABOUT NADNA DEVI TEMPLE **
Maa Nanda Devi Temple is situated in Almora, Uttarakhand, India. This temple is situated amidst beautiful natural valleys......
Here all goddesses are addressed as mother or in local language maa is a common word...
Goddess Nanda and Sunanda are the protector goddesses of the common people and the previous rulers of the Chandra dynasty who had ruled this place earlier.
The common people have great faith in Goddess Nanda and Sunanda.
Common people have a lot of faith in goddess Nanda Devi and Sunanda .
People worship and pray to their goddess in all their happiness and sorrows.
***What I like about this temple***
I really like the paintings made by hands on the stones in the old temple here and it amazes me a lot to see how many beautiful paintings have been made by the old people.
Here the roof is made of stones
Beautiful paintings have also been made on the wooden doors of the temple. I like these very much. If ever I get a chance to learn it, I would like to learn this art.
WHAT IS THE SO UNIQUE ABOUT NANDA DEVI TEMPLE
-The temple of Nanda Devi is very old, attractive or major attraction of the town of Almora.
-The Ancient temple is believed to be 1000 year old.
-Here you will experience a mental and spiritual peace.
-The carved pictures on the stone here are very beautiful
Friends, inside this temple there are beautiful statues of Goddess Nanda and Sundan made of stone. I saw and worshipped them. Along with them there is another temple of Lord Shiva inside it. It is also a very old temple.
******fairs and festable ******
Every year in the mount of stepmber on bhadra shukla ,temple host a grand nanda devi fairs
People come from far away places to see this fair.
This fair lasts for 4 to 5 days. During this time, folk songs and folk dances are also performed in the temple.
I also go to see this fair in which many programs are held like singing and dancing, people participate in different programs.
