Good day, hives! Hope you all have a great day and may God protect, guide and bless your day.
Today my blog is the continuation of my last blog since the National Museum of the Philippines in Cebu was near Fort San Pedro my Friends decided to visit it also although in Fort San Pedro they already have an entrance fee which is 30 pesos for the adult and 20 for kids and 7 below is for free.
Entering Fort San Pedro they have this Signage of the Fort San Pedro.
Then you will pass the entrance door, where you will see the seal of the Spanish king, the image of Santo Niño and the Philippine Flag anyway The Fort San Pedro also known as El Fuerte de San Pedro in 1565.
Fort San Pedro started as a wooden fort in 1565 and was later upgraded to a stone fort. This is the smallest and oldest fort in the Philippines.
At this time Fort San Pedro was not yet that crowded when we got there since we had been there around lunchtime. So we had the privilege to take good photos at that time since there was no Photo bomber at that time.
At the entrance, you will see the founding of Cebu and what is the history of Cebu. why Magellan and Lapu-Lapu got into a War the landing of Spaniards in the Philippines also the planting of a cross by Ferdinand Magellan in Cebu. Also, this wall shows us the people and happenings that have made a remarkable contribution towards the founding of Cebu City.
The other wall is all about the past of Fort San Pedro wherein those pictures are from the first look of the structure wherein it is made of mud and bricks at that time. Based on the looks of the pictures shown on the wall we can say that those pictures are so old because of their black and white background. Also, this wall shows the evolution of the structure of Fort San Pedro which is from a structure that is made of mud only wherein now it is fully-developed and new.
When you enter the premises of Fort San Pedro on the right side you will see the Gallery where the portrait of Magellan and Santo Niño be found.
On the left side, you will find the Comfort room which they maintain to be historical even their comfort room. They also have a stair beside the fountain this stair is connected to the second floor of the Fort San Pedro.
The last time the Viviende del Teniente room was the actual Gallery but for some reason, they put the gallery downstairs to renovate the upper room to secure the tourists.
Every triangular fort holds a Bastion for Ignacio de Loyola (southeast), La Concepcion (southwest) and San Miguel ( north ) where I took my photo.
Our trip to this fort made us realize how the world has quickly changed and how our culture has evolved. Despite these changes, it’s good to see that our love and pride for our country are still the same.
So I hope I did help you in the best possible ways even if it is just a little learning that you get from my blog. Anyway, if you are interested in going to the famous Fort San Pedro you can now book a ticket here in Cebu because right now it is so easy to travel either with the use of private or public transportation.
