Konnichiwa, buen dia , How's everyone's day? I hope that you all have a great day. Today, I made sure to look for a place where I can relax since our school declared that we don't have a face-to-face class but we are having synchronous learning, and I also have 2 days vacant because of the holiday, so I grabbed the opportunity to travel.
Since I have been travelling to different beaches here in Cebu, here's another site you can also look into on your next trip down south. Buwakan Ni Alejandra is a long hour trip away from the city, but a refreshing stop after being stuck in the house for so long.
The name “Buwakan ni Alejandra” (Alejandra’s Flower Garden) was derived from the Visayan word “buwakan” which means “flower garden” and "Alejandra" is the mother of the owners. The name was given in honour of Alejandra’s love for flowers."
My son was excited that morning because he knew that we are going to somewhere. Me and my son Ace together with our second family were escaping the city for Buwakan ni Alejandra, a place filled with more flowers than I could imagine! We travelled for almost one hour on a motorcycle and past rice paddies. As the air grew cooler, the mountains came into view, dotted with green and whispering promises of floral wonders.
That time the weather was a bit cloudy during our visit, with a little raindrop and the skies were cloudy. I saw online that during colder or rainy seasons, the view is still beautiful with fog enveloping the garden! I think I stayed for a good hour just taking pictures with all the flowers and mountain views.
I was amazed at how the staff threatened us they were so accommodating that they offered a hand to take a photo of us, so I grabbed the opportunity could make memories together with my son Ace.
First we explore the colourful bridge where they paint the floor with different colours also you will see the mountain view of Busay Cebu that will amaze you.
And the overlooking view of the mountain that will relax your eyes and be amazed at how beautiful the creation of God is.
Then we took photos of the waiting shed that was made of wood also they have a bicycle but that one was for decoration only
Also, we passed on the tunnel of flowers where the best part of buwakan ni Alejandra was the staff took of us.
We got the chance to take a picture of a manmade heart garden I was amazed at how they do that shape and how flowers grow in that shape.
The Hydrangea flowers with different colours, there are pink, purple and other colours There are some Roses and Mayana leaves in different varieties that make the Buwakan ni Alejandra beautiful and colourful.
Is this somewhere you would plan to go to during your travel? If you love taking pictures or creating content then this place is for you. It's a bit far, but the entrance fee is affordable and worth the sights. If you just want to relax, then there are more nearby places in the city that you can go to instead.
Also, I got the chance to know the different kinds of flowers at that time also that time there were a few guests who visited the Buwakan ni Alejandra maybe because of the cloudy day. I don't get nice photos because of the cloudy day. but thanks to the tourist guide that Assist us she makes our visit more memorable because of her super jolly attitude.
You can also buy plants or seedlings in Buwakan ni Alejandra. I wasn't able to eat, but I also saw this small resto where you can rest, freshen up, and eat before your next stop. Restrooms are also available
Entrance to the garden is 100 pesos for Ages 11-59, 75 pesos for ages 6-10 and Senior citizen and PWD
Operating Hours: 7 AM to 6 PM, Mondays to Sundays – but if there’s a storm, they will close the premises to protect the flower garden.
Exact Location: Brgy. Gaas, Balamban, Cebu – few meters away from Adventure Cafe (30-45 min drive from JY square or Marco Polo via the scenic Transcentral highway
By Van: You can take a bus going to Balambam or a V-hire going to Busay but the easiest way to ride is the V-hire since their route was going to pass in Buwakan ni Alejandra, In V-hire
the fare was around 160 pesos per person (one way) you can take a V-hire (Van hire) in Ayala Center Terminal going to Balamaban Via Transcentral Highway approximately 30km or an hour's drive also depending on the traffic in Cebu City before you get to the popular Buwakan ni Alejandra
By Motorcycle: From Cebu City to Balamban Via Transcentral Highway approximately half an hour before you get to Buwakan ni Alejandra but since we came from Naga we just took 25 minutes of travel time.
Overall, I am so happy to have been to this flower garden in Cebu in other places around the world. For someone who loves seeing blooms, this place in Cebu is so beautiful, and at the same time, energizing and healing and I got to chance to experience it together with my son Ace.
Thank you for the hearts everyone 💛
