For the new year, I created a bucket list and plan for 2024. One of my top goals is to explore new places, highlighting travels and adventures. I crave the chance to discover beauty, culture, and traditions in locations I've never been to before. Today, let me take you on my very first visit to Molobolo Spring, a famous cold spring located in Tuburan, a northwest town in Cebu City, Philippines. I've always seen pictures of it on social media, but lacked the means to get there until recently. With our motorcycles, my friends and I have been able to check off one item from our bucket list. Join me as I recount our adventure at this stunning location.
The exact location of Molobolo Spring is in Barangay Apalan, Tuburan, a town in Northwest Cebu City, Philippines. If you are a public commuter, you may ride a bus going to Tuburan at the Cebu North Bus Terminal located in SM Cebu City. Once you reach the town of Tuburan, you may ride a motorcyle for rent going to Molobolo Spring.
This is the view as we head towards Molobolo Spring. Tuburan is indeed a beautiful town and it has a lot to offer not only on bodies of water but also picturesque landforms and views.
As we arrived in the area, we saw the tarpaulin with the price list of the entrance fees at the Molobolo Spring.
One thing I love most about the place is that they have a massive parking space for their customers.
Before you enter in the swimming area, you have to pass through the entrance where the tickets are sold and people are required to log their information such as names and address.

Of course we had to take a mandatory photo on the Molobolo Spring signage.
One thing that shocked me the most is that there is a beach just at the back of Molobolo Spring. I did not know. It is my first time to be here and I was even more amazed to see a swimming pool under construction with the amazing sea view. What a relaxing sight to see. Can’t wait to come back here soon and may the pool be functional.
It will really depend on you if you want to swim at the spring, at the beach, or soonest, at their swimming pool. There are a lot of options to choose from indeed at Molobolo Spring.
The cottages for rent here are of two varieties : ₱150 or ₱300. My phone went on a low battery therefore I was not able to take photos. Foods are of no corkage and you can bring any food you want but there are also designated grilling areas. To add more fun, there is also a karaoke which is ₱5 per song. Karaoke always adds up more fun.
Molobolo Spring is such a gem. This being my first visit, I'm already looking forward to my next trip here with loved ones. To make the most of your time, it's recommended to come here earlier since travel time takes a few hours. While it's a perfect spot for relaxation, overnight stays are not possible as there are no available rooms.

Indeed a must-visit spot when you visit the town of Tuburan @naymhapz . I really love swimming into beaches and most especially on springs because I love the tranquility the water gives me. It just takes all my stress away. You should indeed visit here sometimes with friends and family. I will definitely come back here soon as well!☺︎♡

It is my first time to be here so I can’t tell if it got nicer, but now, I guess it is really better than those of the previous years. It is a good thing the government made improvements to it to attract more guests and visitors. ☺︎♡
