We were in Makati city for a few days for the Art Fair Philippines 2023. We stayed at a hotel in the middle of the city which was really convenient for us cos we can just walk to the event area.
@Spintwister and I decided to walk around Makati one morning. Walking in the city is such a relaxing thing to do considering the nice sidewalks and skywalks.
We were originally planning to walk to Ayala Triangle Gardens but we saw this park along the way. It's just a small park that allows you to walk, jog, or just have a relaxing time before you go about your day.
Just across the street is another park called Washington Sycip Park. It's a bit bigger park than Legazpi and has more trees.
That's a bench (and a table?) cos I saw one sitting there lol. Such contemporary design.
They also have a part where there are a few kinds of trees there. This for example is called the rainbow gum cos it's colorful lol.
Showing my recent weight gain belly. 🤣
This looks really beautiful especially with the early morning sunshine. It's just a little walk lol but it's quite romantic too if you're willing to imagine that's it's bigger. xD
This park is made as a celebration for Japanese and Philippines friendship. You can sit down on one of the benches as well. During your free time, it would be nice. :D
It's a nice park and we even met cats here that are well-fed and very friendly but that's for another post. :P I can say it's gonna be nice to jog in here especially early in the morning. If we lived in one of the residencial towers nearby, I'll probably walk a lot. :D But I probably won't live here anyway cos the population really stresses me out.
The photos were shot with Fuji X-T4 and a 23mm f/2 lens.
Late ako lahat sa mga post mo madam sarrrriiiiii :D busy again sa school after days nag short vacation ako dami agad tambak na paper works :D but i enjoy the gala soo much balik tayo ulit sama kana beshy @jude.villarta

Hahah syempre tambak jud after 🤣😓 pero worth it!
I feel like I joined with you to this morning walk of yours hehe. Thanks for sharing anyway. The view in that place is so pretty that jogging or your short walk will be much fun because of it.
Yeah haha even tho it’s literally so busy outside you can forget it a bit when you’re there :D
While scrolling and the photos im like "manila ba to o japan" hahaha and then read the celebration of japan and Philippine friendship em like ohhh IT MAKES SENSE HAHAHA
Akala ko may blog sa artfair 😆 wala pa pala excited ako nyahaha
Hahaha late tlaga ako mag blog pag maraming pics or long post🤣 unahin ko muna ang mga side trips hahaha
Nyahahaha pa thrill ~
It's really a good place for a morning walk. The ambience is just so serene. Try BGC next time! 😄
I've been to BGC a few years ago and that place too is so nice! I was only there to visit the Venice mall and surrounding areas haha so wasn't really able to walk for the sake of walking but yeah it would be nice to do so.
This time actually we were planning on going there as well since it's close to Makati but plans have changed and we ran out of time lol.
That bamboo arch 😍 I haven't been here before, but I've been around Makati. Might check this out during my next visit 😊
Dibaaa! Random lang din pagka kita namin ng park, nasa map sya pero I thought malayo layo kami sa area.😆
Parang ibang bansa din ang feels hahahahha
so greeeeeeeeeeeen 😊
It's like entering a word of peace :)
You look good now, what belly you are talking about? 😁 😂
It’s more obvious sitting down🤣
Wow! what a beautiful park and the pictures are perfect, what a beautiful place! ❤️
The pond area looks great, very calm, hope there is not much noise around just sit there and watch the Koi, there must be a ton of them, nice pics too ✌️
There was still noise from the traffic but not that much since it was morning. Maybe in the middle of the day it would be loud. The kois are so pretty there’s one that looks literally like gold haha
Such a cool park. I love the architecture
Love the feels of the photos you took!
Love the park design too! True, if I live nearby I would probably be seen there often too, but yeaaah if it’s too crowded, it’s so stressful.
Thank you! I recently did a Kodak Portra 400 film simulation in Fuji and used that as a "base" when editing the pics a bit haha. I like moody photos and Fuji captures them nicely I dunno with their color or whatever (even unedited) so yeah lol
Agree with that, I think the default setting is like that. I’ve been planning to get Fuji because it looks so cool, I mean photos are so dramatic already, but til now, it’s still in the drawing list hahahaha
Moody pics 😄 It’s just so awesome!
I see that bamboo is very attractive, even though it's only bamboo, it looks so aesthetic. especially barrels made of stone, such as the philosophy of water droplets that over time will form depressions in the rock. Interesting!
Yeah! If it was a bigger area with bamboos, damn that would be so nice.
I love how much nature is at every step of your walk. Over here we have to walk quite a lot until we reach a park or a place closer to nature while the city doesn't have much of the green landscapes :(
This city as well did a really nice thing with trees in the sidewalks which I really appreciate. It was so nice walking here not just in the park but the whole city in general cos it's not too warm with the presence of trees. Man I hope all cities will do this, even one small tree can make such a big difference.
beautiful photo with the rainbow I don't always see one in my part
I think they are mostly found in the southern part of the Philippines, and also Indonesia. They are really pretty in person and especially when you see them lined up!
