Budapest by Hop on hop off.

Hello, friends, travelers, and community greetings. Now coming back with more about Budapest travel.
In the last two posts, I wrote about the boat trip in the flooded Danube. and visit to famous world's most beautiful cafe, the New York Cafe.
After visiting the cafe we hopped on a sightseeing bus and grabbed a good seat on the top deck, where we could see the attractions of Budapest.
We planned to just notice the important spots by traveling around the city on this open bus, take it easy, and find out how to get back there later. we took two rounds around the city to get to know the places. Today just the highlights about important points/attractions during the bus trip.

The bus was passing through from the center to Elisabeth bridge
The big beautiful buildings, the traffic, the construction. The center is busy.

Crossing the river Danube from Pest to Buda.

The Erzsébet Bridge, originally designed in a flamboyant style, was completed in 1903. It was destroyed during World War II, but a simpler version was rebuilt without much ornamentation. This bridge spans a narrow part of the Danube and serves as a major traffic connection between the two sides.

We arrive on the Buda side.

The fairy tale museum. I wrote in my list of things to see.

The chain bridge. Here we can get down and walk across to Castle Hill. or take a walk to Pest walking on the bridge that I put in my list.

Beautiful architecture many buildings each having a unique history.

We proceeded on the road that runs parallel to the Danube.
Again the flood, muddy water, trash, fallen branches and trees.

Still, people were busy with their routines and tourists were enjoying the possibilities.

the cruise boats that were normally full of tourists gathered floating debris as they stood still and empty at their flooded docks.

From this distance, the pillars of the Margritz Hid/ Margaret Bridge looked like they were completely submerged.

The dock of the cruise hotel was fully damaged and the piles of debris were growing larger.

Crossing Margritz hid/bridge from Buda to Pest it is sad to see the condition of the river and the disturbance of people's lives.

The riverside tourist attraction Carl-Lutz-Rekport was underwater. all the benches and roads were covered with water and it was forecasted that the water level would continue to rise for days.

The bus arrives in the city center called Deák Ferenc tér. From here we can take any public transport like tram, bus, metro, or tuk-tuk, to travel to any place in Budapest.

Astoria is a major junction.

A typical commercial building, I like how the round architecture is perfectly made for corners and most of the corners in the city look very nice.

After passing some interesting places we went to the city park where many attractions are close together. From a long distance, I noticed the city park and the agricultural museum. But the was some construction work going on as well as some preparation for a music concert.

The city park is surrounded by Hero's Square, a thermal bath center, a fine art museum, a zoo, a botanical garden, and a biodome. We added them to the list of places to visit. After our hop-on, hop-off tour, we decided to explore nearby places on foot and search for a good restaurant for dinner...

Thank you very much for stopping by.
