Hello travelers friends and community greetings I am continuing my trip to Norvegica Geopark. enjoying a memorable golden evening at Rognstranda.

After spending a few hours at Steinvika, we continued our journey to Rognstranda. We had to return to the E18 national highway south. About 2 kilometers from the national highway, we took a turn onto road 363, which connects to road no. 3356 which leads to Rognstranda. This area is part of the Norwegica Geopark. Here on the beach you can find a combination of sand, claystone, and limestone, But the impressive rock wall that enhances the beauty of the beach is from a completely different geological era. That is what makes this place so interesting geologically

During the summer, the beach has camping facilities and is filled with tourists. However, when we previously visited during the summer it was surprisingly crowded. This time, we only encountered two people who were preparing their cabin for the winter, as almost nobody else was there.

It was half past 3 and the sun was shining on the rock wall. The reflection from one cabin window was so bright that it looked like the sun was coming from inside the cabin.

The rock wall turned to gold. So spectacular.

Whenever we think about the beach, we picture warm sand, rocks, people swimming, boating, and children playing. However, here everything is quiet, with cold rocks and frosty sand.

A small brook makes a pleasant gurgling sound to break the quietness.

It was turning dark and getting cooler my camera battery was also down, and we were getting hungry. So we took to the highway again.

Here are a few glimpses of Rognstranda from our previous visit in the summertime.
