Your post is simply amazing, with stunning photos that remind me of our fall trips to New Hampshire. I'm sorry to hear about your truck. Although it's not human, we tend to attach sentimental value to things we use in our daily lives and have good and bad memories associated with them. I can relate to your situation, as a long time ago, our truck broke down and we had no choice but to give it away. I remember crying because of all the memories we had with it.

Yes, @hindavi, ...
... I would not normally be classified as the sentimental type. I am more typical of what one would experience with an engineer. Which I am ...
That said, like you, reminiscing about it, I have also been all but in tears well after I recorded the final scenes of my little truck being hauled away. As you rightly point out, my reaction has a lot to do with the memories associated with that little truck.
And, very (more?) important, I also liked thinking of it has having "the heart of champion," as it never failed. Have much value do / should we place in that which does not let us down, given how rare that is in life?
Thank you stopping by and letting me know you find this post to be of value. 🫡Have great day! 👋
As an Indian am more emotional, my husband is an American and he always says don't get attached to things, things are things. anyway, have a nice weekend :)
