Hoi An Lantern symbolizes the symbols and wishes of the Vietnamese people for a prosperous and happy life, a peaceful and healthy family, and all things well. Therefore, the use of lanterns is the most sincere and earnest way of expressing faith in spiritual meanings.
Hoi An people consider lanterns as both a means of lighting, a form of decoration, and above all, a pride in the local culture.
The UK's famous global travel magazine Wanderlust has announced a list of 7 most impressive festivals in Vietnam, in which "Hoi An Lantern Festival" is ranked first (2015).
