Little did I know that Cebu, Philippines, has a lot of islands that I haven’t visited yet. One of these is the Caohagan Island in Lapu-Lapu. It is actually a small island with a few locals living nearby. This is somehow a very short vacation of my husband’s family, as we decided to spend a quick beach day just within Cebu, and yeah, the final say goes to Caohagan Island. Am I excited? Of course!
I can still recall this day a month ago, the weather is so nice like it is indeed a perfect weather to go out and breath. It is all thanks to my husband’s family for this travel treat as we able to experience visiting new island. Unfortunately , my phone's battery wasn't fully charged, therefore I wasn't able to take many photos of the location. But still, I’m gonna show you here some photos I got.
It was a fun-filled day together with my in-laws and his relatives as we spent the whole day having fun taking pictures and swimming. What I love about the place is their white-sugary beach and crystal-clear water. Well, not exaggerating, the place doesn’t greatly differ from some other islands I had visited, but it somehow brings the relaxation I want in a vacation.
Another thing that made it more breathtaking was because we had the perfect boat for the island hopping. As you all know, we travel in a large group, so basically, this is all we need as our means of transportation going to the island since it is spacious and has its own comfort room.
I left my heart on this island as I fell in love with the sea breeze and the sound of waves that makes my heart and mind so calm. As we all know, it doesn’t need a lot of luxurious things for us to relax because nature itself is already a luxury item that no one can beat. It brings us the therapy of the mind to heal the exhausting days we had.
To my dear Hiver’s, if you wanted to visit this place soon, I’ll drop down below a few details of the place so you can grab some ideas.
Exact Location: Caohagan Island, Lapu-Lapu City ( 45 minutes to 1 hour travel depends on the port are for pick up) near Nalusuan Island in Olango
You can go to Maribago Port which is beside the Vaño Beach or Angasil Port beside Mactan Newtown for Pick Up.
The entrance fee per person is 200 pesos and the cottage rentals is 100 pesos. For the the boat it depends on the number of person but in our group it costs 3,000 for the boat.
Maybe soon, I would be glad to bring some of my family members and friends here because I also wanted them to experience this kind of place. The rates are budget friendly, and the people living nearby are very accommodating. So , what are you waiting for? Come and visit this place soon and share your experience with us.
