My dear Hiverโ€™s, itโ€™s been a whileโ€ฆ I really got busy for more than a month, it is too personal to share. It is more like giving myself time to heal and I honestly still in my healing process. And yes! life must go on despite all the unforeseen circumstances. And now, Iโ€™m back!

In this blog, Iโ€™m going to share a little glimpse of my travel experience just within the Visayas. And yeah! Itโ€™s me again chasing natures and breathing in the fresh air.

In the previous month, I visited Bohol with my husbandโ€™s cousins and they are Althea, Diane and CJ, the three of them are siblings. It was a last-minute travel plan because Diane called me over the phone late at night around 10 in the evening and we decided to go to Bohol early in the morning. It is a one-day travel only so we decided to be at the port by 3am so we can catch up the earliest ferry trip going to Bohol. How funny it is, no one beats backpacker early birds.

No butโ€™s and Ifโ€™s, all-in-one go. So yeah! In this picture we are already waiting for our boarding and I could still feel the excitement that time because it is my first time to visit Bohol. I really thought that the port is not too congested since itโ€™s still early but I forgot that it is summer season and thereโ€™s a lot of Koreans and other foreign nationals waiting up in line.

And moving forward, we arrived at Bohol around 6 in the morning and was fetched by our tour guide named Sir Barry. He explained to us our itinerary and what to expect in this tour.

1. Loboc River Cruise

Itโ€™s not a Bohol trip without the Loboc River Cruise. We had our lunch here and it was an amazing experience, imagine having a seafood meal while cruising at the river with of course a tropical type music. Unfortunately, I wasnโ€™t able to take a picture of the foods, it is actually a buffet food service, so you can choose various menu. This is literally the view that I really wanted where great food meets the beauty of Loboc River.

2. Man-made Forest

These are mahogany trees located in the border of Loboc and Bilar towns. The shade under the trees is really giving the relaxation and fresh air. This is also one of the place where we had so much fun with the jumping shots. And take note, it is our guide who suggested most of our poses.

3.Sevilla Twin Hanging Bridge

Another thrilling part of our tour was crossing this sevilla twin hanging bridge. It is actually made of bamboo so while I tried to take steps while crossing the bridge I felt like Iโ€™m gonna lose my breath because itโ€™s too shaky and seeing the river below is so scary. But it was fun though.

4.Chocolate Hills

The most iconic tourist spot of Bohol is the chocolate hills. I was so amazed when I got to see it from the observation deck. I am not really sure how many of them but all I could surely say is the beauty it holds. For me, it is extraordinary formations that makes me wonder. Numerous folktales describe how these strangely shaped cones came to be because there is no conclusive scientific explanation for how these hills were formed.

5.Bohol Tarsier Sanctuary

This little creature is called Tarsier and they are nocturnal animals. Before we enter the sanctuary we had given instructions from the tour guide to make a distance, not to make noise and no flash of cameras because their eyes are sensitive. And stating facts, their eyes are even heavier than their brains. I could even stare at them for like an hour because they are so cute.

6.ATV Ride

All throughout this tour, my fave was the ATV ride. There are plenty of ATV rental places at the Chocolate Hills. We spent like one hour of the ride around the chocolate hills. The rental costs range from less a thousand depending on the company and the amount of time youโ€™re going to use the vehicle.

And lastly, before we decided to go home, we stopped by a souvenir shop to buy something. I purchased few items like mini wallet, ref magnet, and a t-shirt. Theyโ€™re absolutely cute because most of the items are carved with tarsier faces.

Hello! Thank you very much for posting in the Worldmappin Community ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

We noticed that you included more than one PIN code in the post. This is not necessary and can lead to double pinning. If you are writing about a trip with different points of interest, it is advisable to indicate only one PIN of the most important place or central location.

Double pinning can lead to problems for our curation, so if you keep doing it we can not guarantee you to be considered for our daily Travel Digest.

We recommend that you obtain the code either from https://worldmappin.com/, or by selecting the location directly on the small map at the bottom of the text editor in the PeakD interface.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our team on our Discord channel.

Cheers!

Thanks for bringing that to my attention and keeping me informed @worldmappin ๐Ÿ˜Š will take note on this.
