Wow - that really is an impressive structure. It's amazing to think that they had the design and construction skills to be able to produce something like that all thos years ago. I'd love to see that !

Yes, I totally agree! It's amazing what humanity was able to construct back then. This not only goes for the truely stunning constructions of the Egyptians, South Americans and Chinese. Try building such infrastructure as the drinking water systems built by the Romans back then, today but with the technology they had back then - you would find yourself failing!
And even if you look at big constructions built with todays technology success isn't guaranteed or will take years upon years for thinks that should be possible way quicker (looking at you BER)..
I recommend you visit the ancient city of Caesarea and the Roman Aqueduct are impressive, and yes, it seems they had very good engineering skills to be able to build something like this and moreover to be functional.
