Oh yes,we have a black plastic bag (heavy plastic) that we leave in the sun on hot days - no good in winter though! And we often put a kettle of water on the fireplace to heat it up as well...
Have you tried any other creative ways to heat up water?
What is there apart from aforementioned fire, solar, fuel?
