In today's post, I want to share with you some highly important news about a very significant tourist region in Italy, Liguria. The Cinque Terre represents one of the most renowned attractions of this beautiful region, and I believe almost everyone has had the opportunity to visit this stunning place at least once in their lifetime.
To tell the truth, several years have passed since the last time I was there, but I remember walking the famous "Path of Love" that connects Manarola to Riomaggiore, two important villages of the Cinque Terre. Unfortunately, due to the terrain's conformation and various collapses, the path had been closed.

Now it seems that on the first of July, the wonderful panoramic path will reopen to the public. After a remarkable 11 years, the first 170 meters of the route have been partially renovated, and by July 2024, the entire stretch will be completed. It's not very long, it's less than a kilometer, but in my opinion, it offers a breathtaking and scenic panorama for those who have had the opportunity to walk it.
This is certainly wonderful news for tourists visiting the Cinque Terre, even though I understood that from the first of July, only the completed section will be open by reservation. Later, in 2024, the entire 900-meter path will be fully open to everyone.
It is important to highlight that the Cinque Terre area has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, confirming its value and significance on a global level. This designation represents recognition of the uniqueness and beauty of this extraordinary place and is undoubtedly a point of interest in this region.

The reopening of this panoramic path will not only offer visitors a breathtaking experience but will also further enhance the value of this location and the magnificent national park that surrounds it. Through its redevelopment, respect and preservation of this natural and cultural treasure will be promoted, ensuring that future generations can admire and enjoy its beauty without compromising its integrity.
It was not easy to restore the path considering its location. We can say that it was a challenge conquered by man. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to return soon and personally admire these completed works.
