Cuba's legendary Hotel Nacional is considered a symbol of history, culture and Cuban citizenship. It was declared a National Monument and awarded the status of Memory of the World at the National level by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Located in the front line of the Vedado neighborhood, it offers impressive views of the sea and the city. Also fringed by royal palm trees 🌴 and well-kept gardens with a super lively green.
El legendario Hotel Nacional de Cuba es considerado un símbolo de la historia, la cultura y la cubanía. Fue declarado Monumento Nacional y galardonado con el estatus de Memoria del Mundo a nivel Nacional otorgado por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO).
Ubicado en primera línea del barrio Vedado, pues ofrece impresionantes vistas al mar y a la ciudad. También franqueada por palmeras reales 🌴 y jardines bien cuidados con un verde súper vivo.
The entrance to the residence impresses with elegance in its large doors that add a touch of sophistication, while the bronze and marble details reflect the craftsmanship of a golden age.
La entrada a la residencia impresiona con elegancia en sus grandes puertas que añaden un toque de sofisticación, mientras los detalles de bronce y mármol reflejan la artesanía de una época dorada.
Upon crossing the threshold, visitors are greeted by a spacious and bright lobby, decorated with colonial style furniture, crystal chandeliers and polished marble floors.
A warm and welcoming atmosphere. It also features photographs and murals on the sides that narrate the rich history of the hotel.
Al cruzar el umbral, los visitantes son recibidos por un lobby amplio y luminoso, decorado con muebles de estilo colonial, lámparas de cristal y suelos de mármol pulido.
Una atmósfera cálida y acogedora. Presenta además a sus lados fotografías y murales que narran la rica historia del hotel.
This statue is not only a decorative element, but also a symbol of Cuban identity and the cultural richness of the estancia known as "The Goddess of Abundance or La Segadora", represented with a woman of serene features and dressed in a flowing garment that suggests movement and grace ☺️.
Esta estatua no es solo un elemento decorativo, sino también un símbolo de la identidad cubana y la riqueza cultural de la estancia conocida como "La Diosa de la abundancia o La Segadora", representada con una mujer de rasgos serenos y vestida con un ropaje fluido que sugiere movimiento y gracia ☺️.
This space is an encounter through the history of the hotel and of Cuba 🇨🇺. On display are photographs, documents and objects that highlight the most important events that have taken place at the hotel, as well as significant personalities who have stayed there in past years.

In the lounge areas, there are antique radios from the 50's and 60's, a Wurlitzer in perfect state of preservation, which is still working and presents traditional and danceable music.
There is also a roulette wheel used in the hotel's casino games, before all these social evils and vice were eliminated.
En las áreas del salón, se encuentran radios antiguos de los años 50 y 60’s, un Wurlitzer en perfecto estado de conservación, que aún está funcionando y presenta músicas tradicionales y bailables.
También una ruleta utilizada en juegos de casino del hotel, antes de que se eliminaran todos estos males sociales y vicio.
On the other hand, it has ancestral clocks, record players and luggage forgotten by celebrities at the beginning of the hotel's inauguration in 1930's.
Por otra parte cuenta con relojes ancestrales, tocadiscos y equipajes olvidados por celebridades en el inicio de la inauguración del hotel en 1930’s.
It preserves many newspapers, crockery, photographs, a model of the place and documents related to the beginnings and construction of the residence.
It houses many cards of repeat customers, plaques and important information in tribute to several greats of the movement at the time.
Conserva muchos periódicos, vajillas, fotografías, maqueta del lugar y documentos relacionados con los inicios y construcción de la residencia.
Alberga muchos carnés de clientes reincidentes, placas y información importante en homenaje a varios grandes del movimiento en su época.
At the end of the gallery, there are 2 statues of very famous artists (Nat KIng Cole and Compay Segundo) which I took some pictures jjjj 😁 to be the third one.
It contains a very elegant and classic Bar-cafeteria, ideal to share with family, friends and enjoy excellent cocktails and drinks with good traditional Cuban music.
En la parte final de la galería, pues hay 2 estatuas de artistas muy famosos (Nat KIng Cole y Compay Segundo) la cual, me tome algunas fotos jjjj 😁 para ser la tercera.
Contiene un Bar-cafetería bien elegante y clásico, ideal para compartir con familia, amigos y disfrutar de excelentes cócteles y tragos con la buena música tradicional cubana.
These following images were taken without permission, because it is a place reserved for meetings and conferences of high general command. It was used as a summit of the non-aligned in 1979, it is a solemn space that reflects the role of the hotel in the diplomatic history of Cuba.
On the other hand, I took other shots of statues and a letter box that caught my attention because of its antiquity.
Estas siguientes imágenes, fueron tomadas sin permiso, porque es un local reservado para reuniones y conferencias de alto mando general. Fue utilizado como cumbre de los no alineados en 1979, es un espacio solemne que refleja el papel del hotel en la historia diplomática de Cuba.
Por otra parte realice otras tomas a estatuas y un buzón de cartas que me llamo la atención por su antigüedad.
In the upper part I found a place for cigar lovers, very ornate and colorful, where it presents a nice decoration and contains a space for the sale of cigars very well known in the country and worldwide as El COHIBA.
En la parte alta encontré un local, para los amantes del tabacos o puro habanero, muy adornado y colorido, donde presenta una bonita decoración y contiene un espacio para la venta de tabacos muy reconocidos en el país y a nivel mundial como El COHIBA.
The gardens and ocean view was my favorite place 😍, they are rich in history and elegance. The cobblestone paths and well-kept green areas invite you to stroll, relax and have some coffee ☕️; creating an atmosphere of tranquility and connection to take some photos with nature.
Los jardines y la vista al mar fue mi lugar favorito 😍, son ricos en historia y elegancia. Los senderos empedrados y las áreas verdes bien cuidadas invitan a pasear, relajarse y tomar algún café ☕️; creando un ambiente de tranquilidad y conexión para realizar algunas fotos con la naturaleza.
Here you will find historic cannons and tunnels dating back to the 18th century, used to defend the bay of Havana.
The place is perfect for photo lovers, the views are incredible, especially at sunset, when the sunlight reflects on the sea and the vegetation.
Aquí se encuentran cañones históricos
y túneles que datan del siglo XVIII, utilizados
para defender la bahía de La Habana.
El lugar es perfecto para los amantes de tomarse fotos, las vistas increíbles, especialmente al atardecer cuando la luz del sol se refleja en el mar y vegetación.
As a coconut water lover 🥥 well, enjoy a tasty and relaxing drink 😁😁😁😁😁. Since it has tropical resting areas to enjoy the environment.
Como amante del agua de coco 🥥 pues, disfrute además de un sabroso y relajado trago 😁😁😁. Ya que cuenta con áreas tropicales de descanso para gozar del entorno.
In the final part of the tour, as a curious fact, I could not imagine seeing so many animals present and beautiful vegetation. I was able to share with several peacocks 🦚 both females and adult males, they are very friendly to the public, letting us even touch if they like you jjjj.
The plants are come more to the Caribbean, contains palm trees, framboyanes, bromeliads, buganviles and other typical species of Cuban flora.
En la parte final del recorrido, como dato curioso, no me imagine ver tantos animales presentes y vegetación hermosa. Pude compartir con varios pavos reales 🦚 tanto hembras y machos adultos, son muy amigables para el público, dejándonos hasta tocar si les caes bien jjjj.
Las plantas son vienen más a lo caribeño, contiene palmeras, framboyanes, bromelias, buganviles y otras especies típicas de la flora cubana.
If you have the opportunity, I recommend you to visit this architectural icon leader of the hotels in Cuba, possibly one of the most colorful places in our country, open to the public every day of the week.
A very important work of the history of my country, I loved it, and even more after having read so much information that right now I have the desire to return and enjoy once again these gardens 🤩.
Si tienes la oportunidad, te recomiendo visitar este icono arquitectónico líder de los hoteles en Cuba, posiblemente uno de los lugares más vistoso de nuestro país, abierto al público todos los días de la semana.
Una obra importantísima de la historia de mi país, a mí me encantó, y más después de haber leído tanta información que ahora mismo tengo deseos de regresar y disfrutarlo una vez más de estos jardines 🤩.

Such a nice, breath taking monument and surrounding . this a place good to explore because we can learn so much from the history of the ancient times.The buildings are great and ohh! I love the peacock,your lucky you are able to take picture with the beautiful peacock.
