"You don't always need a plan, just go."
As someone who prefers planning her adventures most of the time, this quote doesn't sit well with me. However, recently when a friend came over to visit me here in my far-from-the-city fortress, an unplanned escapade was due. I didn't expect we would find ourselves in this beautiful paradise in Medellin, Cebu called SADAGAT BEACH CAMP.
This was my first time exploring the beaches in Medellin only because I wouldn't want to make my friend feel that I'm not up for her need to explore and unwind. We could have settled here at the beach across my home but because of that recent storm, there was a lot of debris that washed up to the shore and I wasn't that proud to invite her for a swim there.
She was the one who found out about the place on Google Maps and I just went along. We rode on a tricycle from "Eskina Don Pedro" to the campsite and we paid $2.73 each. It took us about 40 minutes to arrive. It was quite far from what I expected but I didn't mind since we allotted our day for this rendezvous.
Nature welcomes us
Just a few meters from the main road, we entered this open, charming, quiet space that made us whisper "wow" in awe...
As we noticed there weren't many people around, we told ourselves we were lucky and happy that we trusted ourselves to be spontaneous or else we wouldn't stumble the place.
We paid Php100 or $1.81 each for the entrance fee. Initially, we were asked to get a table but we informed them that we only intend to stay for a while, lie at the beach and swim and they were ok with that.
As the name of the place says, this is a campsite so one can pitch their tent or avail their camping options with equivalent fees. From overnight camping to car/motor camping to parka glamping, one could experience a relaxing and fun way to escape the city and be with nature.
We then slowly made our way to the beach. Our smiles extended ear to ear as we walked under the shade of the trees, breathe in clean air, and saw the blue vast sea in the distance. A few motorbikes and tents sit perfectly well under some coconut trees.
We later learn that the manager only limit 100 people max to stay here on and usually they are jampacked on weekends. And it would be an experience we would want to try as we could meet other campers and be in a different vibe. But the best time to visit and stay here would be on weekdays if you would like to just get away from the crowd, unwind from your troubles, and recharge your energy.
Here is their Kasku Kamper, a worn-out van turned into a camping vehicle. It's priced at Php1,500 or $27.27 per night for 2 pax already.
Sky meets the Sea
As my feet walked on the fine, white sand and my eyes gazed at the open. wide sea, I felt some flutters in my heart. Perhaps it was some joy after experiencing so many intense emotions and energies for the past couple of weeks. Somehow, my higher self told me that it's okay to slow down, that it's okay not to do anything, and that it's okay to just take a breath and simply be.
There were no people in sight so it felt like we had this little paradise to ourselves. We found the perfect spot under a small shade and settled down.
And surprisingly, multitudes of yellow butterflies flew past us for about 10 minutes or more. It was such a magical experience! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get some photos or videos as I was so mesmerized by the beautiful creatures. We confirmed with the manager that it was also their first time seeing migratory butterflies in their area.
After our soulful conversation about where we were in our dating lives and how much we've grown since then, we indulged ourselves with mother nature's beauty as we walked along its picturesque shoreline and took some photos while the sun was still kind with its sun rays.
Later that afternoon. we had a refreshing dip on the cold water despite the small, strong waves forming because of the sudden quick change of weather.
One thing that shouldn't be missing in our lives is good coffee! And we were ecstatic to find they have a cafe/bar! We headed out there after our fun photoshoot.
We passed by these beach swings overlooking the sea. This spot gave us an amazing view of the long shoreline stretching on both sides. They said the water would have been much clearer if not for the recent storm.
Coffee is a Must
The cafe/bar was but a small and cozy store with wooden tables and chairs and have an amazing view of the beach. My friend took care of ordering for both of us. We had Caramel Vanilla Hazelnut Latte for Php110 or $2 each. They also sell alcoholic drinks if you prefer that one instead.
While waiting for our drinks, we tried laying down on their huge "Pukot Bed"... It was sturdy though not a good idea to lie down when just simply wearing your bikini. 😜
Glamping on our next visit
They serve lunch so you don't need to worry if you didn't bring food. We both ordered a sisig meal paired with buko juices. A pizza delivery guy also came just in time and we bought 1 box from his ready-to-eat stocks.
They also have a charging station.
And while we had a sumptuous lunch, we had the opportunity to chitchat with the manager shared our admiration for how beautiful the place is. She did inform us there usually have guests who are having remote work stay for a couple of days. They have wi-fi and this gave me and my friend an idea to stay for a longer period of time during our next visit.
I then asked her if I could take some photos of one of their Grande Glamping so I could include it on this blog and she was kind enough to say yes. So here you go and perhaps this would also entice you to visit the place.
An Unexpected Visitor
The most joyful moment I had during this escapade was encountering a random cat (who looks so much like my deceased Osiris 😭) who quickly ran to me near the toilet area. It cuddled on my legs and played with me as I was heading back to the table. I thought he would simply go away but decided to jump on my lap and stayed with me throughout the rest of the day.
We spent 2 hours together cuddling and sleeping while waiting for the sunset. Somehow I felt like Osiris was visiting me. I realized that I had already finished grieving and found peace in his passing. All I felt at that time was just this immense love I couldn't explain.
Unfortunately, the skies were filled with dark, heavy clouds that hid the sunset however I don't regret it - all the more reason for us to visit this place again!
This experience was one of the happiest adventures I will surely remember for the rest of my life. I guess I just simply need to be spontaneous once in a while.
You would need to include SADAGAT BEACH CAMP here in Medellin, Cebu, Philppines in your bucket list! And hopefully, you will get to have those magical moments in this beautiful little paradise with yourself, with your lover or friend, or even with your family.

I was actually amazed of their fine, white sand like pwede najud pambato sa Boracay! hehe. Also confidence is key when wearing bikini. 😉
Reading the introduction I wonder what is glamping, it was a new word for me hehehe but glad it was answered the alter part of the article. I also googled it and yes I understand more about it. Ang Ganda Naman, Yung nakadapa ka sa bed facing the blue ocean with the waves.
Sana all carry na carry mag bikini, that's a great confidence.
Kaya din pala Wala masyadong tao kasi may limit din pala atleast di masyadong crowded Ang place.
And we went there on a Monday pala kaya wala masyadong tao!
If I ever go camping here, I would definitely try sleeping in the van! 😉
Sarap guro Ng feeling doon sa van ano hehehe. Unique experience din yon.
Wow! Such a beautiful place to relax. Perfect to unwind. Plus the sexiest model with a pink and black swimsuit makes it more enticing. Take care and God bless.

Wao! You guys didn't waste your money going down to the beach, because I know it was a fun one from all I saw and read..I hope you guys enjoyed your stay there?
Thank you @the-lead! Definitely worth every penny we spent! We enjoyed. In fact our initial plan was only to stay until lunch but we extend for a few more hours. that was how we fell in love with the place.
Lol, it ought to happen because, even seeing the place from here alone, I fell in love with it and I was thinking I have gotten to the place already mere seeing it😃
That's such a cool campsite! I only placed my tent in the mountains or a forest, but never on the sand. Though, is something that I wish to try one day just for the sake of hearing the sound of the waves, and seeing both the sunrise and sunsets from my tent, haha!
Now, this I miss! But yes, its a different and also an amazing experience to camp at the beach. Not only sunrise and sunsets, if you are lucky a beautiful night sky full of stars too.
That sounds cool too! But since I've watched a lot of stars while camping in the mountains, including the milky way and falling stars, I'm more fascinated by sunrises and sunsets now ❤️ thank you for the idea though 🙏🏻
Wow, what a beautiful place. A beautiful place to camp. Thank you for sharing this great adventure with us 😊 You seem to have had a lot of fun ❤️
Yay! great to know you enjoyed reading about this place. 😊
You guys sure had lots and lots of fun, nothing like spending adequate time with people that you love🥰

Great post, great Photo. I really love to enjoy this place!
Thanks for share here on pinmapple.
You are welcome! Do you love going to the beach as well?
Yes very much! I love swimming alone and getting away from the coast. I prefer rocky sea to sandy one, do you?
I like spontaneous and unplanned escapade at times. Less anxiety with what to come and less expectation with what is there to see. Like this beach camp site. The fun of dicovering something beautiful is rewarding.
And the cat, I really do feel like osiris spirit is there visiting you. Maybe he missed you too.
So true, I've been slowly letting go and surrendering control in all I do and life has been so much easier!
Yes, if it was truly Osiris spirit, they I can say we both loved each other so much.
WOW! A beautiful beach fitted for a beautiful body in bikini💕... Thanks for sharing miss @indayclara, really a nice place to visit🥰!

Yes! Same here too.
It wasn't that hot in your photos but your presence made it extra hot and spicy! 😌
Love the cat interaction! I also think that's the best part of this trip. Spontaneous trips have their wonders! I'm also the planner type but can't say no to impromptu trips.
Parang nice gumala dyan~ Plus points sa cafe and restaurant nila!
Mao cguro ni pasabot sa spark atong laki ganiha 🤣
Kidding aside, I've let go najud control in terms of mga plano plano og laag unless international trip kay dapat jud planohan para sulit. Huhuhu. hopefully next year maka international trip napud ko. fingers cross

I was planning to go here because I was amazed by the pictures of my friend. The view was just so perfect. Their vans and tents are so catchy and I think it's nice to sleep here too. Sadagat is really one of the glamping spots that I like. Maybe I could visit this soon in God's will.
You won't regret visiting the place! Perfect for a quick getaway.

I appreciate you enjoying the beautiful shots I've taken. It was definitely refreshing to spend a whole day with nature and just be present in the Now moment. If only we don't have bills to pay then I would have probably been just doing nothing and being at the beach all the time. 😂
That was an awesome adventure again @indayclara. I love the net bed facing the beach. It feels so relaxing to be there.
