Hello everyone,
This is the fourth post in my travel series #DiscoverBangla on Hive. My post today is about the most famous places in Mujibnagar. Hope you like it.

Today in my post I will show the famous place of Mujibnagar which reminds people of 1971. Because there are things there that remind you of 1971. The day when the Pakistan invasion force committed atrocities on the innocent people of Bangladesh. How many mothers and sisters ruined their honor and raped them. How many raped his wife in front of her husband. How many fathers killed their children in front of them. Today I will talk to you about that and share with you some pictures I took of the place.

Then I took a few pictures of the statues on the left side from a distance. To be honest, making these statues was amazing. Seeing these statues reminds me of a lot of things, especially the day when the innocent people of Bangladesh were tortured. People will not remember this, but when they come to this place of worship, they will remember these words. We did not see it with our own eyes, but what we heard and felt, how many people died, how many mothers and sisters lost their dignity, can be understood from these scenes.

Then I went to the first statue on the left side. This statue represents when the Pakistani occupying forces tortured the innocent people of Bangladesh. At that time, the people of Bangladesh could not sit still and started fighting with whatever they had in their hands against the Pakistanis. The biggest initiative behind giving courage to the Bangladeshi people was Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. As a result of his speech on March 7, the people of the entire Bangladesh jumped into this war and after nine months of continuous war, Bangladesh became independent. So this statue represents that when Bangladesh became independent, the Pakistanis signed an agreement where it was probably written that they would never attack Bangladesh again. From today, Bangladesh has become independent and many of their soldiers also died. In this war, Bangladesh finally became independent. It cannot be explained how many people died, how many children died, how many mothers and sisters lost their dignity to bring this independence. As a result of their contribution, today we have an independent Bangladesh.

Then I went to the statue. The next statue means that this is a historical conference meeting. Here, the big leaders of that time were sitting in one place and holding a conference. There were many big leaders whose names are written here, they are Colonel MAG Osmani, Major Khaled Mosharraf, Major Ziaur Rahman, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and many more were present at this historical conference. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was speaking at this conference. He was the pride of Bangladesh and it was because of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that the people of the whole Bangladesh came together and fought with Pakistan, as a result of which we got independent Bangladesh.

Then I went to the next statue. Actually, the statues are very beautifully designed. They are designed in such a way that people can see what happened in 1971, how people died, how the Pakistani occupying forces tortured the people of Bangladesh. So that we remember their words, so that when we come to this place, we remember their words. This statue shows Syed Nazrul Islam saluting some people. These people are those who participated in this war and played a big role in this war. They are being honored because at that time, the people of Bangladesh did not have any weapons, they fought with the Pakistanis with sticks and other things. But the Pakistanis had many types of weapons, they tortured the people of Bangladesh innocently and killed them.

Then I go to the next statue. This statue shows some people standing. These people are the members of the Council of Ministers of the Provisional Government of Bangladesh in 1971. At that time, they were the members of the Council of Ministers. They were the biggest leaders of that time. They played a big role in the independence of Bangladesh. They also tried their best to make Bangladesh independent. Bangladesh became independent through them. There are some people here whose names I know, they are Tajuddin Ahmed, Khandaker Mostaq Ahmed, AHM Kamruzzaman, Captain Mansur Ali. They were big leaders at that time, through them we got independent Bangladesh today.

Then I saw some writings on some walls. These writings were a declaration. When Pakistanis lost the war, they signed this declaration. They signed here that they had lost the war with Bangladesh. When you read this declaration, you will understand what was written here. These will actually be a memory in people's lives. Whenever people come to this tourist spot, they will remember these. That is when they will think of those who liberated Bangladesh with their lives. That is when they think of those who liberated Bangladesh in exchange for their honor.

Then we went out of here and went inside. Because there were some statues inside, we went to see them and when I went there, I took some pictures. Here, the first statue shows how the Pakistani occupying forces used to go from house to house and kill innocent people in Bangladesh. Here you can see that some Pakistani forces are standing in front of a house with their guns and whenever someone comes out of this house, they will kill him. In this way, the Pakistani occupying forces killed many innocent people in Bangladesh. They used to go into people's houses and if there was a mother and sister in the house, they would destroy their honor and kill their children. The Pakistanis had been torturing Bangladesh innocently, they started torturing the people of Bangladesh like this for nine months. They would kill whoever was against them.

Then I went to the next statue. Then the statue looked even more tragic. Because here it shows that some people are dead. These are the innocent people who were killed by the Pakistani occupying forces without any reason. They killed many such people. About 3 million Bangladeshis died in this war but I don't know if it is true but we have read that 3 million people died in Bangladesh in this war. They used to catch and kill innocent people. They destroyed the honor of hundreds of mothers and sisters and killed them. They took away their children from hundreds of mothers and sisters and killed their husbands from many wives. They used to torture the people of Bangladesh like this inhumanly. The people of Bangladesh were innocent, they didn't know how to fight, they didn't have any weapons, but still they didn't give up, they fought with what they had and finally defeated the Pakistanis.

Then I went to the next statue. This statue is meant to show that the Pakistani occupying forces not only attacked houses, they attacked schools and colleges everywhere. They terrorized the people of Bangladesh in such a way that the people of Bangladesh were afraid to go out. The people of Bangladesh did not go out at night because they always thought that if they went out at night, they might not be able to return home. Because the Pakistani occupying forces patrolled at night and if they saw anyone outside, they would kill them. They made the schools and colleges their place of residence. They spent most of their time in schools and colleges.

The Pakistanis had weapons that the people of Bangladesh did not have. They used to attack the people of Bangladesh with Trank. They had many types of weapons but the people of Bangladesh did not have such weapons, they only had sticks and other things. Due to which many people of Bangladesh died in this war. But in the end, the people of Bangladesh won and Bangladesh became independent. Even though the Pakistanis had so much advanced technology, they could not fight the people of Bangladesh. There were many reasons behind this, one of the main reasons is our neighboring country India. This India has helped the people of Bangladesh a lot. When the Pakistanis started atrocities on Bangladesh. Then the Indian government started training the people of Bangladesh how to fight. India supplied weapons to Bangladesh so that they could fight with Pakistan. In this way, India has helped the people of Bangladesh a lot. India has a contribution behind the independence of Bangladesh.

Then I went near the last statue here. This statue means that the Pakistani occupying forces used to destroy all the memorials in Bangladesh because they came here to change the Bengali language into Urdu. But the people of Bangladesh did not let them do that, they fought with them and defeated them. The Pakistani occupying forces thought that if we destroy their memorials, then maybe they will not be able to do anything, but the people of Bangladesh have shown that they are not weak, they can fight with them. Thus, after hundreds of efforts, we got this independent Bangladesh. And when we go to this tourist place, we remember what happened, how many people died, how many mothers and sisters were destroyed, we remember these things. Maybe these things were created to remember their words so that we do not forget their words.

That's it for today!I appreciate your time and attention. At the end of this post, you can comment and let me know how you liked my post and if you have any questions, I will try to answer them inshaAllah. I hope you like it. See you soon..
