Hello, Hiver's.😍 How's everything going so far? I hope everyone is safe out there. Rej here and I am back for another Rejourney. For this adventure, I'm gonna be taking you to a place that I had one of the best memories with my colleagues before the pandemic. This was organized by our company in order for us to learn, discover new things and at the same time travel to a new place. Welcome to KOOL ADENTURE CAMP where great adventures and new self-discovery happens.🤗

I am working in a Food processing company here in Cebu for almost 5 years now. This is basically my first job as well. I am really for long term, but now that's for work because I don't have a love life as of the moment. Hahahaha!😅 Enough for the side jokes, let's go back to my adventure now.😅

I am just so happy and proud of Virginia Food, because they really invested so much on their people when it comes to trainings and career development. Since I am under Sales & Marketing, we have this National Sales Convention every year in which we would travel to places and learn at the same time.

In this convention that our company organized, we went to Kool Adventure Camp in Balamban, Cebu, Philippines. This is actually my first time here. I heard a lot of good things about this place ever since I was in college, because the owner of this place which is the Aboitiz Family, they also have a company here in Cebu City and that's where I had my OJT (On-the-Job Training) way back college days.

THE ARRIVAL

When we arrived at the place, there was a band that welcomed us. It was so festive and full of happiness. Everyone was just so excited for the activities and adventures that we will be doing here in the camp. We stayed here for a couple of days. Each delegate had a "nickname" and this is how we will be called while inside the camp. Mine, I chose
PAPILLON which is a French term for butterfly.

I'm just so happy to be reunited with my colleagues all the way from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Hello there, @patsitivity. 😀

ALL EXPENSE PAID

Our entire stay in Kool Adventure Camp is an all-expense-paid by the company from our rooms down to our food. We really thanked as well the people who gave us the best customer service on our stay here. Most of all, we are so grateful to Virginia Food for being so generous to their employees.

INCREDIBLE VIEW

Aside from the fact that Kool Adventure Camp (KAC) is an adventure-based education program providing learning and development opportunities for individuals and organizations through a powerful learning experience here in the Philippines, this place also has the best location wherein anyone that will get inside the camp could really have that peace while staying here.

I fell in love both with the sunset and sunrise here. I also love the beautiful landscapes of the mountains. This place is just so perfect for adventure.

Each of us were grouped according to our teams as well at work. That was really a great adventure. We learned a lot of things. Through our stay here, that's when we got to know our colleagues even more. There were a lot of challenges that we need to try on that gave us a lot of lessons at the end of the activity. This is really one for the books.

This is me right here with so much energy in each activity. Hahahaha! I just can't contain how happy I am in my stay here. It really contributed a lot both on my personal and professional life.

We've also tried wall climbing with the team. It just feels so great that we cheered and supported each other. Just like in any organization, teamwork is indeed important to bring the company into greater success.

This activity woooooohhhhh! My knees were trembling while doing this, but I was so proud of myself that I made it. 😂 It is like facing our fears and challenges in work and in real life. We are tasked to climb up in the pole that was so tall. Upon reaching at the top, there's a small plate on it and we need to stand there and shout for our sales target percentage commitment (this is in the case of Sales Team). After doing this, we need to jump going back to the ground. All safety precautionary measures were applied in this activity, because our safety is still the most important thing above all.

With this activity, it is not just about aiming to reach the top, but also trusting the people behind you. People who are there to guide you and motivate you that you can do it. I am just so blessed to have such an amazing team in the organization that I am into.

Some of these people may not be with the same company that I am in right now, but I am so proud to say that we all grew as a person in our stay here. It only proves that a certain idea would only work when there's collaboration and trust for each member.

CLOSING CEREMONY

Our National Sales Convention Event here in Kool Adventure Camp was ended by a culminating activity wherein everyone was gathered to celebrate as one company. Armed with the different lessons that we got in our stay here, we are now so ready to face for whatever challenges may come along the way. There was also an awarding ceremony of the outstanding employees of the year.

MY INSPIRING TAKEAWAYS

In my stay with Kool Adventure Camp , I really discovered and unlocked a lot of things in life. I learned to realize that whatever may be our position in the society, we should never limit ourselves on the things that we are capable of doing. At first there will always be a fear of failing, but if we will not allow ourselves to try in the first place, then we will never learn. Failure and rejections are part of the process. I learned to see these things as stepping stones and not stumbling blocks in achieving one's success.

So the next time that you will feel so little, always remember that as long as you keep on journeying through life, anything is possible. Just keep goingtrust your own pace. Continue to reach for the stars with your feet still on the ground.
