PENNY PINCHING TRAVEL π
Have you experienced a Penny Pinching Travel? A travel that all expenses will stake to your budget. The total cost must not surpass to your allocated moneyπ.We do it in this travel to save and aside from that we are all broke that time hahaha π Find out what we did to achieve this amazing travel with a limited budget. (The budget is 2000 pesos only per head)
EXPLORING THE STUNNING MALAPASCUA ISLAND. πππ
Have you been here?
Malapascua is one of the most beautiful Island Of Cebu Philippines. It is approximately 7 kilometres from the northernmost tip of Cebu Island. The island is part of Logon, Daanbantayan, Cebu Philippines. Malapascua is a small island, only about 2.5 by 1 kilometer.
HOW TO REACH MALAPASCUA ISLAND?
From Cebu City you will travel 3 hrs and 20 minutes to Maya port in Daanbantayan Cebu Philippines. We rented a 12 sitter van which costs us 273 pesos each. Then you will ride a boat for about 40 minutes to reach Malapascua Island which is already included on our payment for the tour package.
We rented a boat that could accommodate 12 pax. We rented it for 1 and half days. Part of the boat rental were the island hopping, cliff diving, and transportation back and forth to Maya Port. (this cost us 450 pesos each).
Upon the arrival in Maya port, we first registered at their tourism desk afterwhich we lighted some candles at the Malapascua church for a safe exploration of the group. We then headed straight to GUANNA GUEST HOUSE. This will be our Home for 1 day.
Boy's Room
Girl's Room
These rooms were perfect for large group travelers like us. They had good service and were very accommodating. However they have problems with the water supply. But over all the guesthouse was great. I love their free breakfast promo. I love the food they served and the place is vibrant. ( the guest house cost us 500 pesos each with free breakfastπ)
WHERE DID WE GO?
After a minutes of break, the exploration begins!!!
First Point
The adventure starts under the sea. We dive and explore the bottom of the ocean even without proper gears π. This is one of the unforgettable activities we've done in Malapascua. We enjoyed so much in this activity even their is a kantil or steep drop around the area that cause a change in pressure of the water, we just continued diving and ignoring the risk π€£.
What do we look like? hahaha I know what you thinking hahaha. Sorry to disappoint you. We don't have beach body that add to your appetite π€£. (These pictures were captured by @sirenprincess11 her Instagram account.)
Look at these gorgeous ladies. Jiezel and Izza done amazing poses in these picture. They can be the next Miss Malapascua or Miss Earth in the future π.
Second Point
This Rocky Mountain should be our next point but due to windy condition of the area and changes of water current that makes unsafe to us, we decided not to continue the cliff jumping. Maybe during our next visit π. " SAFETY FIRST"
Third Point
We headed straight to this stunning beach. This place is really awesome. Wow! is the only word I could say.
This couple enjoyed the moment even thought they did'nt know how to swim π€£.
Look how amazing the water. You can't say no in this clean and crystal clear ocean.
We stayed longer in this place. We enjoyed the moment, the vibe of the ocean and the energy of the beach that makes us crazyπ.
Fourth Point
The Ruins!! The scenic view in this area will mesmerize you. That feeling when you are in the ruins and looked around it, it gives you goose bumps. Magical views will be captured by your eyes that you can't believe you've actually seen it.
This is the best point we have explored in Malapascua π.
Beside the ruins, there is a secluded area at the beach where few tourist came over. We continued enjoying the place and of course showing of our seductive body hahaha just kidding.
We just sat down and enjoyed the view captured by our eyes. (Don't mind my friend he just taking a killer post for his gram π)
Fifth Point
The overlooking view. This instagramable view makes you love the island. It shows you the the stunning Malpascua Island against its crystal clear water. It makes you decide to come back in this island.
After the amazing exploration of the coastal view of Malapascua, We rest in the this beach near the central place of Malapascua island.
We just sat in bay, taking our snack and talking about this beautiful island of Malapascua. We wait until dawn to see this stunning changing color of the environment.
And that's the end of our day exploration and we are all excited what is the Night life of the island π.
NIGHT LIFE IN MALAPASCUA
As millennial, Night Life is one of the exciting time we were looking forward when traveling in one place. But of course that is before pandemic time hahahaha. Since pandemic is still hre, we did not expect too much in what we call "happy hour".
We roamed around in the central of Malapascua to see what the island to offer.
As expected, few places are open for night activities. They limit their costumers and time due to protocols that needs to be followed in this pandemic period. We did not drink in these places. To avoid the crowd and for our safety, we had our drinking session at our guest house.
I think the night life in Malapascua is so alive if we were in a normal condition. This reason is added on my list why I should come back to this stunning island.
HOW MUCH DID IT COST ME IN THIS TRAVEL?

To end this adventure, I would like to drop this last picture - a navigation or direction sign. Looking at this sign inspired me more to travel and explore the world. It reminds me the purpose of life, to roam around the world and learn from all my experiences.
This also tells me to pursue what I want or where I would like to go. Even if your not so prepared or don't have enough tools to successfully do it, you must go. Because along the way in your journey, you will earn knowledge and learn a lot of information on how to deal with it and that will make you a stronger and bolder person in the future.
