Unplanned Replacement Travel in " Samar Island Natural Park Resort" Paranas Samar, Philippines : #LakwatsaniIntoy Diary 049

In my latest blog, I shared with you a spontaneous travel we had in Little Batanes of Tabogon Cebu, Philippines. I ask you on this blog if you prefer a planned one or an unplanned trip. Most of you answer that it is more exciting if you travel impromptu or go with the flow. (and I agree with you on that 🤣)

Planned Travel mostly didn't happen " reminds me of my drawing circles of friends who always planned to have an outing when summer is approaching but didn't happen. Always planning in the beginning but when the day comes, all are busy and have some errands to do. Funny to say but it happens most of the time 🤣.A comment from @ruffatotmeee "

Short Story How this Unplanned Replacement Travel Happened

In this blog, I will share with you a replacement travel for the planned trip last April 05, 2023, that never happened. It was the time I visited my province after five months of working away from my family. Timing on that period one of my cousins also from Manila went home for vacation. When we catch-up we planned a little getaway for our family and friends, A Member of the planning committee was us and another of my cousins, It was a kind of verbal arrangement and we had a few tasks and gathered up again to finalize it, but when time comes it seems the answers was not favor on our plan. There are too many reasons that we decided to not continue the outing.

I got home and honestly, I was a bit disappointed with what happened and accepted that it was one of the travel plans that we failed to execute. I was about to rest and think about what to do for the remaining time of the Day when suddenly one of my cousins shouted my name outside our house and asked me to hurry up and prepare my things cause we would go on a quick trip and replace the postponed planned trip.

I said " WHAT? Are you sure about this"?. She shut me up with my questions and made me prepare my things fast cause it was already 1:00 PM and she would explain everything on the way. I don't know where we going actually, It's funny but I still continue to join in.

On this trip, with me are my three beautiful cousins who also want to travel that day. At first, we agreed to visit the Quarry Cold Spring Resort in Hinabangan Samar. It is one of the nearest cold springs in our place. We are usually here when we want to freshen up and ease the hotness of the weather. But when we were on the bus we suddenly changed location 🤣, and we realized that we wanted to experience a new place and discover one of the known resorts in Samar that we've never visited before. One place that commonly crosses our mind is the Samar Island Natural Park (SINP) in Paranas Samar. (Funny to remember this moment cause while we are riding on the bus we don't have a final location to visit yet 🤣)

Finally, this place became our final destination for this impromptu travel. SINP is a diverse eco-tourism in Samar. From the breathtaking view of the mountain, it also has a healthy Forest behind the resort that provides limitless water not only in the resort but also to the community.

The resort is located on the mountainside side where you can see the overlooking view of the mountain range of Paranas Samar. The resort is surrounded by trees that make you feel relaxed and at ease. It is our first time in this place and we are all excited to explore it.

Arrival at the resort

Upon arriving at this place, we found first the registration area. We only avail the day-use package, where we have access to the swimming pool and some amenities inside. We can also roam around and explore its vicinity. We also get a roam where we can put our belongings safely and where we can change after swimming.

Hotel Rooms and its Natural View Outside

Inside, they have a 3 layer swimming pool facing the beautiful mountain view. Theirs also a Canteen area where you can request food (but that time when we visited the canteen was closed). They also have cottages inside. They have a main building where the registration area and Room Hotels are located. There are also more buildings for travelers besides the main building and they have areas where you can camp, set some tents and burn fire at night. This place is perfect for travelers looking for a peaceful area and for groups of people looking for a chilling place with nature.

The SINP resort is suited in Camp Uno, Brgy. Tinani Paranas Samar. If you plan to visit and discover this place. If you start from Tacloban City you can ride a bus going to Samar for 1 and a half hours and drop at the intersection in Brgy. Buray going to Eastern Samar, then you can ride a bus going again to Borongan Eastern Samar that will pass by the resort or rent a Tricycle going directly to the Samar Island Natural Park Resort. (Tricycle cost us 300 Pesos)

20230405_164338.jpg

The resort is only beside the national highway. it is placed right side if you going to Borongan City. From the intersection in Buray Paranas, it will only take you 20 minutes to go to the resort. If you plan to visit with a private car, you can follow the google map to navigate the resort.

One of the best areas of the resort I like is the swimming pool especially when the sun setting down and the hue of the sky changes. The sun in this place is a kind of shy that is hiding in the mountains. It is kind of a golden time worth to experience.

20230405_164414.jpg

So far our stay at this resort has been unforgettable. From enjoying the scenery and the natural vibe of the place. We also spent quality and unforgettable bond with my cousins. It's been a long time since we've done this again, though we have not completed this time. We still had fun and ended this spontaneous travel with joy in ourselves. I hope next time more members of the family can join us.

Having this kind of travel experience is unforgettable for me. After all the moment we made without proper planning is remarkable in my mind. All I did was smile while reminiscing about this trip.

Your cousins are the ultimate well prepared, spontaneous travel buddies! I would love to go out with them. You mentioned the water source is cold spring, right? I imagined you had a fun time swimming. And the fees are cheap. I will have you give me a tour if i visit Samar

Hahaha, They are very clever in terms of Travel.

  • The Source is Cold Spring, There is a river adventure nearby called Torpedo Extreme Canoe Adventure Ive never tried this one yet. We should try this when we Visit Samar. hahaha (Cheap ang fees adto so maka tipid ta

LEO Power Up Day - November 15, 2023

It's better to have an adventure without plan because it will happen than of those planned that will remain uncolored 🤣

I prefer unexpected travel sometimes. Mostly those planned travel may not favor everything. Unlike unexpected one, whoever are present and willing to go for the trip then be it.

This place is so peaceful and beautiful. Fit for relaxing moment after a heavy work in the city.
