Todo allí está imbricado con la naturaleza y las costumbres de sus publadores. Llegué hasta allí animada por recopilar testimonios sobre la práctica espirita, los domingo es común que lleguen hasta este lugar personas en busca de sanación o solución a sus problemas. En ese intercambio que solo tiene lugar donde las energías ancestrales acuden, encontré varias curiosidades, por lo menos lo son para mi, nacida en una pequeña villa.

El algodón pasa por varias estaciones, la flor primeramente es amarilla, luego roja, luego forma su semilla en forma de pepita y brota el algodón. Es curioso ver como el algodón natural es de una textura agradable. Los campos de algodón me recuerdan mucho mi niñez, recogimos el algodón acompañados de mi padre para rellenar almohadas.

La curiosidad está en que a unos pasos del algodón, está un árbol de más de 5 metros, llamado Álamo. El Álamo posee hojas similares al algodón, en forma de corazón, un poco más duras. Sus flores de composición similar a la del algodón, también pasan de amarillas a rojas, luego a semilla en forma de pepita, aunque de esta no brota algodón.

También encontré una flor que había olvidado, la flor del Itamo Real, del Itamo real hay varias especies, tallo y hojas broncas lechozas con una minúscula flor en la punta en forma de estrella, la cual continiene una deliciosa mielecilla.
Todas estas plantas poseen propiedades medicinales.
Y por su puesto la reina de las flores, justo el día de la Candelaria, fue la Orquidea. Mucho tiempo se requiere para que esta planta parásita atrape todo el coco y forme estas hermosas plantaciones alrededor del naranjo.
La tarde en el campo se hace más corta, no podía irme sin antes degustar un almuerzo tradicional: arroz blanco, ropa vieja o carné ripiá, fufú de plátano y ensalada de tomates.
En el poblado de Calixto encontraran gente hermosa que todo lo ofece. Un trozo de tierra donde recibimos un abrazo de luz y nos conectamos con nuestra esencia.
