Hello everyone, welcome.
How are you all? I hope it is in extraordinary good condition. Summer is calling, really, the hot weather of up to 35 degrees Celsius makes me unable to work during the day. Once I'm ready to work outside the house, I'll just be in my room relaxing under the cool air conditioning in my room.
I remembered an incident last May, when I was walking around the island of Java, I stopped in a special city, namely, Yogyakarta. You know, a lot of civilization happened in this city. A city that is older than Indonesia. This is where many previous kings were born and created new civilizations, far from hundreds of years ago.
Kotagede is south of the city of Yogyakarta, precisely in the Bantul district. Not far from the sultanate house (read: Keraton). Kotagede was the capital of the Mataram kingdom at that time. Kotagede is a place where many historical relics can be seen from the architecture of the buildings in this area. Uniquely, Kotagede is strongly supported by the Yogyakarta regional government by making it a cultural heritage, so that all the buildings and customs and social culture of the people here can be preserved.
Entering from the main gate of Kotagede where this wall divides the Kotagede area, it is called 'Gapura Padorokso' (if I heard correctly), this gate is special and looks very different compared to the surrounding buildings. This gate is decorated with unique carved frames and combines Hindu culture.
Actually, before entering the tombs of the Mataram kings, we will be greeted by 3 gates, of which I will explain the other 2 gates later. Here, we will enter the Kotagede complex with a small village in it. This place is really very different from its beautiful atmosphere and also without any noise at all.
After entering and it is the front yard of the Kotagede complex, we will meet the second gate which is bigger than the first gate. This place is a barrier for visitors who want to enter for purposes before going to the tombs of the kings. Very strict regulations that require us to always be polite and maintain the honor of Kotagede customs. It is mandatory for anyone who wants to make a pilgrimage to ask permission from the Kotagede management and register to provide their name and reason for being interested in visiting the graves of the Mataram kings.
And we arrive at the 3rd gate, which is the gate that will take us to the bathing place before the pilgrimage. Because it is said, we have to be clean before meeting the tombs of the holy Mataram kings. A holy place must be accompanied by a holy body too.
Here, there are 2 places where men and women can bathe or clean themselves using holy water from the Kotagede water source. I didn't go in because it was quite quiet, I was a little afraid, so I decided not to go in even though I was actually quite curious about the water in the pool. Some say that in the pond, there are fish which are believed to be cleansing animals and are enough to make the body holy.
I saw above the water there were several flowers used for bathing, called flowers of 7 forms. Where the flowers are obtained from 7 types of flowers from 7 different places.
There is one thing that is not allowed when entering the tomb, namely taking photos. So, none of the footage was obtained on the internet or social media because it is very private.
Call me Isdarmady, because I have a full name that is very long, namely Isdarmady Syahputra Ritonga. I am a head of the family who work as Farmers Vegetables Hydroponic and Consultant Hydroponics, sometimes I also sell coffee from various regions in Indonesia.
I have expertise dispensing coffee with a variety of techniques and tools brewing, because I have the desire to make a coffee shop with hydroponics as centerpieces. Help me realize that dream.
Thanks for read, vote, re-blog and support me in Hive. Maybe god will reward the kindness, let’s success together.
