Hi Hivers! It's me again, your Island.girl! Have you ever dreamed of escaping to a tropical paradise or exploring a hidden gem? Let's make it happen! I am so excited to share to y'all our trip in Siargao, Philippines.
This was last February. Our trip is 6 days and 5 nights.
I will first share our Day 1. Our flight was at 5:45 in the morning, so we really needed to wake up early, by the way I was with my colleagues. The destination is 30 to 35 minutes away from Cebu, Philippines. It was a funny experience at the Airport because two of our companions were flying for the first time, they were overthinking, worried that something might happen while we were on the plane. They were nervous and excited at the same time.
We arrived in Siargao at around 6:30am, from Siargao Airport to our accommodation the trip took 30 minutes.
Our accommodation is in General Luna the main commercial and tourist hub. If you are looking for busiest and most developed area in Siargao, General Luna is the place to go.
We had our breakfast in a coffee shop called Corner's Caffe they also offer meals. While waiting for our check-in, we stayed in this coffee shop because our check-in is at 2pm.
Sorry, I don't have a picture of the coffee shop during the day. 😁
I ordered 'longsilog' a Filipino food, consisting of Sausage (longanisa), fried rice (sinangag) and sunny-side-up egg (itlog) that is why we called 'LONGSILOG'. 😁 You must try this!!! It's highly recommended and affordable.
This is the front of our accommodation. It is a restobar where you can just chill out and enjoy a live band every night. Behind it, there are rooms for guests.
At 2pm, we decided to visit the nearest beach in our area called 'Secret beach'. We had so much fun there! The view was beautiful, the place was peaceful, and we got to meet different people locals and foreigners.
Outside of the beach there was a famous ice cream vendor, we bought some for the experience, but we never thought it wouldn't be tasty.
Perfect view, right? I love taking picture like this.
We rented a paddleboard, and just roamed around the beach, there were three of us on one paddleboard, because the rental cost of the paddle board is expensive, so we just shared it LOL but overall, we enjoyed it!
We returned to our accommodation around 6PM. Then we decided to go back at the coffee shop then just chilled there until midnight. That's it for Day 1; there's more excitement coming in my next blog! Thank you so much for reading my blog until the end! 😍
