Siargao is indeed expensive. I stayed in Puerto Princesa for 2 years because it was cheaper than El Nido or Coron. I tried to find a place in Siargao but nope.

There are places in the north of Siargao that are still cheap, but the transportation in the island is not good so staying in the north would be difficult if you're into parties and stuff. Yeah, there are places in the Philippines that are still cheap, but offers the same vibe like Mati.
Yep, I rented a motorbike for transportation.
