Hi, Worldmappin! I'm back with my Japan travel posts. I spent nine days in Tokyo, and there were a lot of things to do there. This is my 8th entry of the #winterchallenge.

Ueno is near Asakusa so I had no trouble taking the train from my place. I've heard many good things about Ueno and why Asakusa and Ueno should be part of your travel bucket list.

Ueno is one of the best places to spend time for the spring season. A lot of cherry blossoms here. But it is also one of the best places to experience the autumn foliage in Tokyo.

Saigo Takamori Statue

File1787.JPG

Upon arrival at Ueno Park I met this Saigo Takamori Statue who was a key figure in the Meiji restoration. The statue was surrounded by gingko trees. He was a samurai and committed suicide to avoid being captured.

File1789.JPG

Of course, a lot of tourists visited the place but maple trees were popping its red color.

File1791.JPG

I was just doing my photo walk and enjoyed watching this golden tree aka gingko tree on the left side.

Kiyomizu Kannon-do

File1793.JPG

I love this photo. I have an enhanced version of this photo and I find this a perfect shot because of the Japanese girls wearing kimono, the red maple tree, and a temple.

File1795.JPG

You can't help but take a lot of photos here. Everything was magical here.

File1797.JPG

Fiery red maple tree in the background.

File1801.JPG

I was thinking if only I was into sketching and painting while traveling I would enjoy it here.

File1803.JPG

Yes, Ueno Park is so lovely.

Tsuki no Matsu

File1805.JPG

A tree with a circular branch depicting the Moon Pine. I was confused how the artist was able to do this.

File1807.JPG

The autumn foliage spots are everywhere here at Ueno Park.

File1811.JPG

In another selfie, several people loved their photos taken with the orange, red, and green autumn foliage.

File1813.JPG

Just by staying near the hall, different autumn foliage was everywhere. I was really at peace as a solo traveler.

File1815.JPG

File1817.JPG

Time to move to another spot.

Cherry Blossoms sighting

File1821.JPG

I thought it was just a dead tree. Hahaha! But I was excited when I saw the emerging blooms of Cherry Blossoms.

File1823.JPG

File1825.JPG

The 50 mm lens justified this photo.

Continue the Photowalk

File1829.JPG

If you see those branches of trees without leaves, those are the Cherry Blossoms. During spring time a lot of people spend their time with friends and celebrate Hanami.

File1831.JPG

There I was enjoying my selfie timer photo.

File1849.JPG

The family enjoyed playing with the fall leaves.

File1851.JPG

I just continued to walk and the autumn foliage is indeed picturesque.

File1853.JPG

I just wanted my photos taken here in different corners of colorful autumn foliage.

File1855.JPG

File1859.JPG

Here's another selfie.

File1863.JPG

I turned on the flash and it was indeed a pop-up of colors.

File1865.JPG

Even just going down felt like a fairy tale.

File1871.JPG

These are Cherry Blossom trees. Imagine yourself if it was springtime, from grey to pink colors.

Torii gates at Hanazono Inari Shrine

File1873.JPG

Too bad I wasn't able to visit this place but these are the Torii gates at Hanazono Inari Shrine. One day is not enough. If I could visit Tokyo again I would stay Asakusa or Ueno. I just want to stay in Tokyo for a month. Haha!

Going to Ueno Toshogu Shrine

File1877.JPG

What a wonderful view of the parking lot.

File1879.JPG

Because of Japan, it made me fall in love with autumn.

File1881.JPG

To be honest, you won't feel lonely visiting the shrines and temples in Japan when you are surrounded by autumn foliage.

File1883.JPG

If you're into digital photography, just make sure to bring backup batteries.

File1885.JPG

On our way to see the Karamon Gate.

File1889.JPG

No words can explain but enjoy these wonderful sceneries.

File1893.JPG

File1895.JPG

The Karamon Gate is covered with gold foil.

File1897.JPG

File1903.JPG

Indeed, Japan is very rich in history.

File1907.JPG

And I captured this little boy praying in front of the Karamon gate. Of course, I captured a cute Japanese guy who passed by. Hahaha!

Kaneiji Five-Story Pagoda

File1913.JPG

The Kaneiji Five-Story Pagoda is an important cultural property. It stands 36 meters tall.

File1917.JPG

As a photographer, I would love to bring my friends here. I could take photos of them and use them as a photography portfolio.

File1919.JPG

These photos are not edited but taken as is.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my photo walk at Ueno Park. Don't forget to visit this place when you're in Tokyo, Japan.

Lovely place to visit in autumn 🍂 all the red and yellow colours of the trees.
I can imagine it being magical when the cherry blossoms are there in spring.

Great photo, the one you enhanced, I see why you did so.
Thanks for taking us along.
Have a lovely day 😊

Yes, even though I am in Europe I still want to go back to Japan but it's expensive to go there right now. XD I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

I can imagine. I looked a few times to go and saw it is crazy expensive right now.
One day we go and visit.

Japan must be so charming in Italy and it's so cool seeing people in kimono or it is a yukata? So traditional and typical 💕💕

I'm confused if it's either a yukata or kimono. But this one looks like a kimono.

Do people rent the traditional dress or just wear it daily?

Foreigners can rent the traditional dress. Not all Japanese wear it daily but they can wear it on some occasions.

Hahaha yeah, the 50mm lens has done its job well, I got a good laugh out of this.

Japan must be a paradise for photography, no wonder you recommend to bring several batteries hahaha the colors and the atmosphere overall is beautiful.

You are right about spring being very special, but here you show that getting to know it in autumn gives you a different perspective but just as beautiful.

I think it would also make me want to stay at least a month there hahaha lovely pictures!

Yes, really I wanted to stay there for a month but I wasn't lucky to get the 30-day visa. Haha.

What a beautiful shots you have here! The fall color is just soo pretty😊

Yes, the photos are not yet edited. I want to show an edited version maybe in a different community. Hehe.

lovely place to visit in autumn all the red and yellow colours of the tree. Thanks for taking a long have a nice day. 😍

In love with each and every picture, nicely captured and amazing post!
