Philippines—Baguio City. We all know that Baguio is a favorite spot for both locals and tourists alike, and I’m excited to share our experience with you.Hello, friends @itsmehdheanna again! How’s everyone doing? Today, I want to take you on a journey to one of the most popular tourist destinations in the
So, here's the story: We’re from Caloocan City, and we decided to take a bus ride all the way to Baguio. Our bus left the Caloocan terminal around 2 PM, and after a long, scenic ride, we finally arrived in Baguio at around 7 PM. Whew! The trip was pretty long and tiring, especially since we were on the bus the whole time. But you know what they say: it’s all part of the adventure!
Once we got there, we didn’t waste any time and headed straight to our accommodation so we could rest up. We knew that the next day would be packed with exciting things to do, so we wanted to be ready to explore Baguio’s many attractions.
Our first destination was the Botanical Garden. The garden is huge, and it’s filled with a stunning variety of flowers.
You can also try on their traditional costumes for just a small fee of 1 HBD or more. It’s such a fun experience, especially if you want to feel a bit of the local culture and heritage. The colorful costumes are really eye-catching, and it’s a great way to take some memorable photos during your visit. The friendly locals there are more than happy to assist you, so don’t be shy to join in and get a taste of their traditions. It’s definitely a fun and immersive way to connect with the city’s history while having a blast at the same time!
Our next stop was Mines View, and wow, it’s absolutely breathtaking! The view is so beautiful, but it can also make you dizzy because of the height and the steep path you walk on. Personally, I have a fear of heights, so I made sure to hold on tight the whole time. It’s definitely a place where you need to be extra careful, especially since the area is rocky and close to a ravine. The view from the top is worth it, though, offering a stunning panoramic view of the mountains and the valleys below. If you’re not afraid of heights, it’s a perfect spot for a little adventure and some amazing photos!
Our third stop was the Philippine American Memorial, and it was definitely an interesting place to visit. Here, you can see a variety of old vehicles and bombs that were used in earlier times, all on display for visitors to check out. It’s not only a great spot for history buffs, but also a unique experience for anyone wanting to learn more about the military’s past. The museum gives you a peek into the country’s history, and you can imagine how things were during those times. The whole place feels like a walk through history, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you're in Baguio.
This is the famous Strawberry Farm in Baguio, and it's huge! You can actually pick your own strawberries, and whatever you harvest, you pay for at the end. It's such a fun experience, especially if you enjoy picking fresh, juicy strawberries straight from the plants. The farm is well-maintained, and you’ll be amazed at how many strawberries you can find. It's a great way to spend a relaxed afternoon, and it feels so rewarding to take home your own fresh produce. Plus, it’s the perfect souvenir to bring back from Baguio!
This is the famous Burnham Park, a large plaza where you can enjoy various activities. For just 2 HBD, you can rent a bike and explore the park at your own pace, taking in the beautiful surroundings. You can also hop on one of the many boats available for rent for only 3HBD—there’s a variety to choose from! Whether you want to pedal or use a hand-controlled boat, it’s a relaxing way to spend some time on the water. The peaceful vibe of the park, combined with the fun activities, makes it one of the must-see spots in Baguio.
This is the famous street where you’ll see a variety of anime characters and mascots, and there are so many of them! According to my nephew, who was our tour guide, most of the people you’ll see there are students who work as costume performers to earn extra income to support their studies. You’re free to give them any amount you feel comfortable with if you want to take a picture with them, and they’re more than happy to pose for photos. The atmosphere on the street is fun and lively, with so many colorful characters bringing a bit of anime magic to life. It’s a unique experience that adds a little bit of whimsy to your Baguio adventure.
This is the Lion Head, carved into a massive rock. According to locals, it was sculpted by an Igorot who created the lion's head. The rock is so big that when you look at it, you might think it’s impossible, but it’s really there, beautifully done. It looks amazing in person—it’s so realistic, almost lifelike.
This is an adventure we’ll never forget! It was such a wonderful experience, a bit tiring at times, but totally worth it. Every moment we spent exploring Baguio was packed with fun, beautiful views, and memories we’ll cherish. If you're ever in the city, make sure to visit these places—it’s truly an unforgettable journey!
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my story and adventure! Baguio really has so much to offer, and I can’t wait to go back and explore even more. If you ever get the chance to visit, trust me, it’ll be an experience you won’t forget.
That’s all for now, but I’ll see you again next time. Until then, have a great day, everyone!
