Good day, my dear Hivers!

Are you looking for a place with a stunning panoramic view where you can see city buildings, admire beautiful statues, and find Instagrammable spots in Cebu?

Well, let me share my experience with you!

At around 10 AM, my mom and I decided to visit the Temple of Leah. Before heading there, we stopped by JY Square Mall to buy some food since the location is quite far, and food vendors are scarce in the area.

Right outside JY Square Mall, we found parked habal-habal (motorcycle taxis). We intentionally bought our food there since this mall is the most well-known spot where habal-habal drivers wait for tourists going to Temple of Leah, Sirao Garden, and other Busay attractions.

We had two options:

  • Take a taxi (good for two people).
  • Ride a habal-habal (usually good for one person).

Since my mom and I preferred to arrive together and avoid doubling the fare, we asked the habal-habal driver if we could ride together. At first, he refused, but after some time, he agreed.

How long is the travel time?

If you're coming from JY Square Mall in Lahug, which is the usual entry point to Temple of Leah:

  • Motorcycle or private car: Around 20 minutes.
  • Habal-habal (motor taxi): Around 25 minutes, depending on speed and road conditions.
  • Taxi or tour van: Around 30 minutes if there’s slight traffic.

During the ride, the scenery was breathtaking—far from the busy city life filled with cars. The fresh air made the experience even more refreshing.

Upon arriving, our habal-habal driver parked and waited for us. It was quite difficult to get off the motorcycle because of the heavy traffic, as there were many tourists visiting at that time.

Entrance Fee
Before entering, we went to the entrance booth to pay the entrance fee, which varies depending on whether it's peak season, weekday, or weekend.

When we visited, it was ₱100 per person.

Before going inside, we took some time to admire the breathtaking view of Cebu City. From here, we could see the city skyline, the ocean, and the mountains.

Of course, we took lots of pictures! You can see from the background that the place was packed with tourists.

Exploring Temple of Leah

Walking up the entrance steps, I was amazed by the Roman-inspired architecture—the design resembles a Greek or Roman temple.

Inside the rooms, we saw several statues and sculptures, including lions, Greek gods, and other artistic pieces.

One of the highlights was the grand staircase leading to the entrance. It was stunning, and I was speechless at how beautiful it looked.

At the center of the temple stands the big bronze statue of Leah, which gives the place a sentimental and meaningful touch. Since many people were also waiting to take pictures, we only stayed for a short time.

After exploring, we walked around and admired the detailed artwork and classic European-inspired design.

One of the most iconic features of Temple of Leah is the hallway, lined with massive classical columns that give off strong Greek and Roman vibes. This area is also a perfect spot for picture-taking!

Before leaving, we rested for a while on the benches and open areas, soaking in the peaceful ambiance.

And that’s it, my dear Hivers! I truly enjoyed my visit to the Temple of Leah. It’s a must-visit spot in Cebu, especially if you love breathtaking views, history, and stunning architecture.
