Hello Hivers, @itsmemic once again!
Christmas is a time to spread happiness, make enduring memories, and give to those around us. I'm happy to share with you today how we had our Christmas party in Working Scholars Organiza, which was an absolutely unforgettable event given that we had previously been unable to have one due to specific circumstances. But here we are now, celebrating and having fun with my coworkers!
The Journey Begins
Before diving into the party itself, let me first share the moments leading up to our arrival at the beach.
We agreed to take the school bus and gather at the school so we could all travel together. Since the event was planned to begin at nine, the call time was set for 7:30 AM.
I even bought a paper bag from a nearby store that morning because we couldn’t find one the day before. I placed my gift inside the paper bag—it’s so convenient, especially when there’s no time to wrap presents.
After getting ready, I had breakfast and waited for my ride. I commuted by bus to Bogo, then took a tricycle to the school. I arrived at almost 8 AM and made sure the school bus hadn’t left yet. Thankfully, one of my coworkers assured me that it had not come, so I didn't have to worry.
Pre-Party Teasing
When I arrived at school, my coworkers teased me since I was already wearing our WSO T-shirt, which we were meant to wear later for the group photo. They told me, “Go change into your best beach outfit! Look, the others have already changed, and we’re ready to go.” So, I went to the comfort room and changed. At first, I felt a bit awkward, but I eventually got comfortable.
About 10 minutes later, the school bus arrived, and luckily, I was already there.
One of my friends quickly saved me a seat and said, “Hey, sit beside me!” It turned out that my seatmate was also my classmate in one of our Friday subjects, which made our bond even stronger. We even took a selfie to capture the moment.
The Perfect Gift
By the way, I brought with me a cute bag that my superior gave me as a Christmas gift. Isn’t it adorable? When Ma’am handed it to me, I told her, “Wow, Ma’am, I love it! You really know I love white, and the touch of black makes it even better.” It was perfect because our color theme for the party was white, so I got to use it right away.
Arrival at the Venue
When we finally arrived, the bus stopped at the highway since it couldn’t enter the narrow road leading to the beach. We walked the rest of the way to Miranda Beach Resort, a private resort reserved for our party.
And that’s it for today’s blog, dear Hivers! Stay tuned for part two to see how the celebration unfolded. See you soon!
