Hello, hivers! Good day! @itsmemic , once again.
I'll walk you through all of the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Vincent Ferrer a Catholic Church in Bogo City, Cebu's breathtaking aspects in this blog, from its imposing exterior to its calm interiors and all points in between.
A Weekday Visit to the Church
This visit happened on a weekday when I went to the church. I’ve shared some views and pictures of this church in a previous blog, but those were only from the outside. This time, I’ll take you inside the church and show you more.
First Impressions: Before Entering the Church
Here’s the view right before entering the church. I couldn’t resist taking some shots of the late afternoon scene—the sky’s blue hue perfectly complemented the church’s white color.
Before entering, there’s a large sign with the words "I Love San Vicente Ferrer" and "Bogo City Cebu," alongside a statue of San Vicente Ferrer himself.
The church’s front facade is stunning:
- Tall, ornate columns frame the entrance.
- Stained glass windows sit above the door, adding a pop of color.
- At the base of the columns, there’s a pink-flowering bush.
On the left side, you’ll find a large wooden cross with a decorative base and a plaque that reads "500 YEARS OF CHRISTIANITY 2021."
Inside the Church
I arrived at 5 PM, just in time for the worship service. Even though it was a weekday, the church had a good number of attendees—families and couples together.
The church’s interior left me in awe:
Birds flew around gracefully, often in pairs. Also, the atmosphere was peaceful, clean, and spacious—ideal for prayer and reflection.
While seated on the pew, I noticed:
A digital clock hanging from the ceiling and above it, a balcony with a metal railing and lights. Parts of the ceiling showed visible drywall patches, hinting at ongoing renovations.
The Beautiful Altar and Features
The church’s altar is truly breathtaking:
- Gold carvings and intricate details surround a central statue of a saint holding a child.
- A statue of the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus is adorned with flowers nearby.
There's also a large cross and TV screen in the background enhance the worship experience.
The TV, in particular, was helpful for following hymns during the mass. It created a harmonious moment as everyone joined in singing with the choir.
Large fans around the church kept the air cool, a relief for someone like me who sweats easily.
The gate’s unique design, featuring arched windows and a garden view of trees and bushes.
And that's it for today's blog, hivers! I hope you enjoyed this little tour of the church.

How hopeful it is that the tradition of going to church is maintained and more if it is in family 🙌🏽✨.... And well, I'm also one of those who sweats easily 🫣🩷, so I sympathize with you, the good thing is that up to that point they consider so that the whole experience is not compromised by the heat :3
