Good day, my dear hivers!
Let me take you on a journey to a place that holds both charm and simplicity—Pantalan sa Tabogon. This trip was special because I had been here before, but only at night. Visiting during the day allowed me to see the place in a whole new light, appreciating every detail that makes it unique.
How It All Started
After my duty, upon arriving home, my aunt invited me to go out, saying we should visit there especially during the daytime. I agreed and said, "Yes, let's go together."
A Vibrant Boardwalk
Let me start by describing the colorful pier or boardwalk here. Its walkway is made of concrete with wooden railings on both sides, painted in various colors and patterns.
As we strolled, I noticed my uncle walking along the pier. He was the one who drove us here on his motorcycle, adding to the feeling of a family outing. Across the pier, there were several small outdoor markets and food courts offering a variety of snacks and meals. The setup was simple yet inviting, with vendors selling everything from grilled items to refreshing drinks.
The Calm Sea and Scenic View
The sea was neither too high nor too low—just perfectly calm, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The boats docked nearby added to the charm of the place. Many of them had long, narrow hulls, a traditional design that seemed to reflect the area's coastal heritage. Some boats were covered with blue tarps, giving a rustic yet practical touch to the scene.
The pier wasn’t crowded, which made it even more enjoyable. The quietness, combined with the occasional chatter of visitors, created a serene environment.
Outdoor Dining Area
The outside dining area was one of the trip's highlights. Tables and chairs were arranged for dining facing the pier, some of them under brightly colored roofs painted in red, blue, and yellow. With titles like "Sa Tabogon" and "Grill & BBQ," several of the eateries gave the event a more regional feel. The space had a relaxed atmosphere with modest table settings and stacked plastic chairs, making it ideal for dining by the water.
A Relaxing Stop at Kikoy’s Hangout
After exploring the pier, we then went to Kikoy's hangout where we bought drinks and French fries.
Here, we were in an outdoor setting, likely a nipa hut or bamboo structure surrounded by greenery. The environment here feels relaxed, with a rural or countryside vibe, featuring plants, trees, and traditional houses in the background.
This trip to Pantalan sa Tabogon was more than just a casual outing—it was a chance to appreciate the beauty of simple places and the joy of spending time with family. From the colorful boardwalk to the calm sea and the inviting outdoor dining spots, every detail added to the charm of the experience.
And that’s all for this blog, my dear hivers! I hope this little story inspires you to explore local gems and create beautiful memories, just like I did. Until next time!
