Not only because of the beauty of the unique architecture but also because every weekend of the Dragon Bridge, there is a very interesting "spraying water, spitting fire" festival. Dragon Bridge - A symbol of a young city's aspiration to reach out.
Da Nang is known as the "The City of Bridges". Each bridge has its own beauty with unique architecture. If Han River Bridge is the first and only swing bridge to this day in Vietnam.
Or Thuan Phuoc Bridge is the longest cable hammock bridge in Vietnam, the Dragon Bridge is no less competitive. It is considered one of the most unique architectural bridges in the world. Dragon Bridge started construction in 2009 and was put into operation in 2013, Dragon Bridge is located across the Han River, towards the East Sea. At the position connecting directly to Nguyen Van Linh route, the gateway to the airport with the beautiful My Khe beach.
Dragon Bridge symbolizes Eastern culture, yellow represents luck, prosperity, and prosperity.

In Vietnamese culture, the dragon is considered the first of the four mythical mascots that are revered and worshiped by the people. Dragon images are also seen in sacred places such as temples, mausoleums, shrines... But there is a strange thing that Dragons are not worshiped in temples like other mascots, but we often see the image of the Dragon always in the lying posture, the Dragon wrapped around the building column, the Dragon lying winding on the roof of the communal house. This is a symbol of defense, protection, service, always ready to protect.
In addition, according to feng shui, the dragon is a mascot converging the elements of nature, so it is also considered a mascot of prosperity, good fortune, wisdom, and is given wishes such as: Praying for sunshine, praying for rain, praying for prosperity...
The dragon is a symbol of the favorable wind and rain scene. The dragon appears as a symbol of good things. The place where the dragon bends are considered to be a dragon vein and a prosperous gas. If houses and graves are located on these lands, it will be considered a beautiful land, helping many generations of descendants to prosper and bring the emperor status. The image of dragon and phoenix also represents the harmony of yin and yang. The architecture of Dragon Bridge was selected from the competition with 17 projects from many countries around the world.
The bridge is 666m long, weighs nearly 9,000 tons, has 6 lanes, 5 spans, two lanes for pedestrians. Dragon Bridge is a unique bridge because it is not simply a bridge for traffic, but it must meet the requirements of spraying water, spraying fire, and unique architecture expressing the desire to rise up. a tourist city. On the dragon coals, there are a total of nearly 15000 led lights, so the light becomes shimmering and brilliant.
The dragon's tail has the shape of a blooming lotus, a flower associated with and symbolizing peaceful villages in Vietnam. The winding dragon body reaches out to the sea, expressing the desire to integrate with friends from five continents of Da Nang city.
In terms of durability, the bridge is covered with 5 layers of anti-corrosion paint to protect the bridge from the effects of the weather as well as bring an eye-catching yellow color to the landscape. This is said to be a unique design unprecedented in the world for a load-bearing structure that is a combination of steel beams, steel arches, and concrete beams.
Dragon Bridge has a very modern light and sound system, combined with each other. You can listen to a piece of music within a 300m radius.
It takes place with many themes such as the legend of the Han River, the beauty of the flying dragon… New and interwoven music creates excitement for visitors.
The architecture of the dragon bridge is the part that attracts everyone, but also the very special thing that only the dragon bridge can do: spitting fire – water spray.
The first performance is a spitfire with 2 turns about 9 times each. You may be surprised with the shimmering light combined with the fire-spewing from the dragon's head, but this water spray is quite short and consists of 3 turns, only 1 time. The best places to enjoy the performance: From On the bridge: When the bridge starts to spew fire, vehicles on both sides will not be allowed on the bridge, the traffic police will stop here to ensure safety. But you can walk up and watch, but note that you should stand far away from the dragon's head to avoid getting wet while the dragon sprays water. The amount of water is only like a shower but still enough to make you wet. From Bach Dang street or Tran Hung Dao street.
