Living in Athens for a while would be a wonderful thing if I didn't have a job where I had to work and my two young children. I wish you success in this Athens life. I have a suggestion for you. The founder of my country, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was born in Greece. You can visit his birthplace. You may wonder why I should visit the founder of a country now, but he was not just a leader. He was truly a person who would set an example for all humanity with his ideas and actions. Maybe one of the highlights of this trip is getting to know him. ☺️🙏🤗
Hi Tim!
It sounds like a solid plan. The only thing you may find hard to get is a decent house for this budget. The rest is as you estimated, more or less.
Athens has definitely a lot to offer if you are open to receive. I was living there for 40 years so I should know :)
I wish you have the best time if you actually go!

At least if you truly want to visit the country it would be nice for a first time

My good friends just moved there as part of their Erasmus program! I'll put you in touch with them!
Its a program that allows students in Europe to go study in other countries, while receiving money from the government or the uni to do so! :-)

I don't find the budget so expensive for a 30 day stay. I will definitely add Greece to my list of destinations in the world to visit.
This country has always caught my attention a lot, as I am a passionate and history lover.
Thanks for your post, excellent writing!
