Ever wondered, what's it like to live between the woods?

Following our instincts and keeping the status of our mental health in mind, me and my friend planned a two day trek to Dhauldhar range.

This kareri lake trek is at Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. If you have maintained your fitness and are found of nature then it's an ideal expedition. Also if you are in search of peace and you appreciate what monther nature offers, you must add it to your list.

First few kilometres were difficult as it was steep upward hike. Then it takes you through the tropical pine forest. The air was unquestionably pure and everything abound was pure organic and adventurous. Exactly what we have wished for.

It's a wonderful trek that provide view of beautiful mountain ranges accompanied by freshwater river as you walk along its curves.

It was 10 kilometres long and and by noticing our progress, we have decided to complete 5 kilometers. As we have started it late around two in noon so it was pretty difficult for us to complete those few kilometers until evening.

We went through a forest which was fully covered with silver oaks, rhododendron, chir pine along with variety of other green plants.
Walking through the woods was really mystical experience, it helps you to clear your mind and release stress.

There were Himalayan vultures gliding around, little chirps from nature everything was totally harmonious. We all loved it.

And then we found this cute cafe named as Jheel, which means pound. This cafe offers much needed refreshments which include shakes, lemon water, maggi etc. We had some drinks and continued our journey.

This was the pound around the cafe which simply expain its name. The water was ice cold and as pure as someone can imagine. It's the water straight from mountains, full if minerals and vitamins. Here, we filled our bottle as took some rest.

Theses pictures shows the path we covered, honestly it was the most dangerous one, slightly slippery , steep, surrounded by bushes, insects and God knows what not.

It was steep upward hike, that day we realised why it's important to go to gym. It you really wish to enjoy everything that mother nature offers, your health should be perfect. So prioritize it,before it gets too late.
