Macau, also known as Las Vegas of Asia is a dazzling city rich in heritage, culture, and cuisine, blending different tastes of East and West. The region has so much more to offer. It's a great place in Asia for a unique cultural experience.
The sixth day of our #FamilyVacation was spent in Macau, and it was filled with cultural and gastronomic exploration. Though one day is not enough to see everything, visiting a few famous sites would help one to fully appreciate what Macau offers. After spending some time touring the Largo do Senado, we left to see another popular spot nearby. The Largo do Senado has architecture and Portuguese cultural vibe that would make you feel transported to somewhere out of Asia, particularly in Portugal.
We passed through a street with an array of street food shops and dining areas, which I guess is considered the food hub of Macau. This is always a busy street for people wanting to explore gastronomy. The whole place is equally enticing, offering Macau's iconic delights like almond cake, pork chop bun, Chinese meat jerky, Chinese teas, egg tarts, gelato, milk pudding, and a lot more. So, if you want to taste everything, be prepared financially because it could definitely empty your pocket. Food lovers will surely love this place!
Visitors can also enjoy the complimentary local Macau tastes here. Many stores provide complimentary food tasting to customers to entice them to purchase their food products. This meat jerky is famous in mainland China and Hong Kong; this is rather a costly street snack. However, you can taste them for free in Macau. There are also free food tastings in stores selling Macau almond cakes.
The kid also wanted to eat, so we considered her preferred ice cream. We bought her a cone of gelato as we came upon a store with a long queue of customers. This kid will eat the cone's end tip first before the ice cream when she eats coned ice cream. She probably enjoys eating the crunchy cone first before it softens.
After eating, we went straight to see St. Paul Ruins. It's an iconic UNESCO heritage site in Macau which is always flocked with tourists and locals alike.
Although crowded, we managed to find a spot for my mom to rest because she looked exhausted from walking. Grandma and granddaughter have big eyes, lol
And look what the kid did when we put her down. She looked bored while riding on her trolley, and seeing the crowd and the long staircase made her excited. She dashed straight to the St. Paul ruins in order to climb the stairway.
While adults were pretty worried about the scorching sun, she didn't seem to care about it and just wanted to climb the stairs fully exposed to the sun. She was quite an eye grabber, posing adorable poses that drew in other people.
She never fails to make people smile, and she positively impacted our family vacation :).
I've been to this place once, but being with my family has been a different experience. We're building good memories together while creating a little adventure with the kid. If only I could extend the day, I want to explore all the pretty places with them.
We traveled again at five in the afternoon to visit yet another famous place in Macau. From the Central Peninsula, we crossed the bridge to Cotai, excited to welcome the new adventure that awaits us.
My family can't leave Macau without seeing this place.
Can you guess where we were?
The kid definitely loved the ambiance and looks of the first place we entered. She wanted off her trolley, but we couldn't let her since she would surely run off.
Our trip to Macau was more than just a journey to a destination. It was an opportunity to create cherished memories and share adventures with my family. If the opportunity comes again someday, I wish to add other family members to this frame.
That's it for now. I'll see you on the last part of this trip to Macau next time! Stay tuned!
Thanks for your time.

What a great time you all had in Macau. Oh and the adventures of the little niece. Too funny and cute, hehe. Nothing wrong eating an ice cream cone in reverse especially if I'm not there and responsible for clean up 😆
