The Shark Mystique and Spectacular Jellyfish

My Ocean Park adventure continued and I present to you, the last part of my water world adventur. You can read the Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4 to know how this journey started.

Shark Mystique

We were about to look for the cable car station when we passed by old-style houses with lights that resemble the fishermen's fishing village stilt houses in Tai O village. Due to curiosity, we visited the houses and found out that it was the area for the Shark Mystique. We passed through the stilt houses' corridor and entered the shark's huge mouth at the end of it. From outside to inside, the building was fishermen's village-themed. There were fishing rods, nets, and other fishing equipment.

I was stunned by the beauty of the overhead pools due to the lights' reflection in the water making the sharks visible on the surface. There was a fisherman's boat at the surface and different aquariums of different kinds of fish, as well as baby sharks.

We moved forward a spiraling corridor until we reached the Shark Mystique viewing area. And we finally took a closer look at different sharks of different sizes and types swarming inside the huge aquarium. There were hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, white sharks, and other peculiar types of sharks.

A huge tiger shark glided by the viewing glass and I was terrified of its scary eyes and teeth. While looking closer at it, I was thinking about, "what if the glass breaks? Sharks would definitely attack and eat us hoomans 😳."

Aside from sharks, other attractions were manta rays, as well as schools of fish of all sorts and sizes and kinds.

I wondered though if sharks eat those small fish when they get hungry. How do they feed the sea creatures inside the aquarium?

We decided to find the cable car station as it was getting late already. But we got hooked by another attraction as it was only located near the cable car station.

Jellyfish Spectacular

The jellyfish were indeed spectacular as they beautifully glow in the dark with their translucent features.

There were different tanks of translucent jellyfish changing colors from the neon lights.

The main attraction of the place was the spectacular rows of cylinder tanks full of thousands of jellyfish with state-of-the-art lighting and music. The tanks were changing the lights' colors that synchronized to the music, from white, pink, red, blue, yellow, orange, and green. And I can't keep myself from taking photographs of them in the mirror.

It was like a magical and fantastic jellyfish show. It was the most spectacular and colorful show I have ever seen.

We left the place with smiles on our faces and queued at the cable car station, and head back to the Waterfront. It was indeed a good decision to take the cable car going down as Ocean Park and Hong Kong shorelines looked stunning at night.

We passed through the Old Hong Kong village side of the Ocean Park, and there were old tram, ocean-themed carousel, and different food shops of HK's local street food.

The whole Ocean Park looked stunning at night with its futuristic lighting and effects.

I liked most especially the Christmas Alley, ocean-themed alley, the Magic Viva (with no magician, lol), and the lake in front of the Grand Aquarium.

More beautiful memories have been added to my treasure chest and are something that can not easily be forgotten. At least, I could say that this visa extension is worth spending as my birthday wish to visit Ocean Park has been granted.
