Located in Southern British Columbia Canada and incorporated in 1897. Going back to 1891 with the discovery of gold, silver and copper in this once thriving mining camp.

Many Prospectors arrived in the boundary area looking to strike it rich!!
There were also a number of Colourful Characters in the area wanted for bank and train stagecoach robberies.

In Greenwood you will find lots to do in Canada's smallest city.
A must see is the historic museum.

A guided tour of the court house located at city hall is also a must.
And self guided tour of downtown is also great!!

Very nice. My wife and I looked at some property between Greenwood and Grand Forks a few years ago, but we didn't take the leap. They have a great little cafe there.

Yes great cafe. My friends purchased a lot above Greenwood last year. Nice views. Wish I purchased one. They have gone up in price now. Nice area between Greenwood and Grand Forks.

I guess visiting this town feels like stepping back in time. It looks like not much has changed since the wild west days. Very cool post thanks for sharing!

It's nice to see these small towns. There are so many of them out there that you'll never see them all in any lifetime. Did not know of the James-Younger connection. Thanks for the virtual tour. Hopefully we'll see more tours from you.

Yes I love visiting all the small towns around that I can. I did read a book about the old western bad guys that mentioned the James-Younger gang. Interesting history. You're very welcome. Yes definitely more tours. :)

I reblogged this post and am following you .

Thank you very much!! :)
