Hello dear people, I hope you are doing well and traveling from time to time. I'm still in my busy period, but today I decided again to recall some nice spots from my summer vacation and share them with you.
Arriving in the town of Groznjan on the outskirts of Istria, a beautiful peninsula in Croatia, was like a dream for me. I did not expect so many picturesque landscapes and so much history in such a small, quiet place.
It is a very small old town, quite authentic and preserved. I love charming Croatian towns, known for their rich artistic heritage and stunning medieval architecture, and Groznjan is one of them.
It was my first visit to this town. My children thought we were in a fairy tale and that there were castles of princesses around us, so they curiously peeked into every corner. I was curious too.
Often referred to as the "Town of Artists," Groznjan attracts painters, sculptors, and musicians from all over the world. The town's serene ambiance add to its picturesque charm, making it a must-visit for those seeking inspiration.
I am also one of those artistic souls who is constantly seeking inspiration everywhere, and here I found it in abundance.
The first time you wander its winding, cobblestone streets, there’s this almost magical quiet. I could hear my steps and loved that sound. With every turn, you stumble upon little art galleries, each one filled with pieces that capture the spirit of Istria. Local artists often greet you warmly, eager to share their stories.
We were hungry, so we asked a lady to recommend a place nearby where we can eat, and she was so kind that she introduced us in detail to the entire area around this place.
Everywhere you can hear the sounds of jazz drifting through the streets and giving the town a pulse.
I liked the paintings everywhere. There were a lot of creative and beautiful works of art. People here are indeed talented and artistic.
They say that you can buy the best olive oil here. We tried it but didn't buy it because it was expensive for as at the moment. Of course, no price is high for olive oil because it is very healthy, but it was the last day of our vacation, so our budget was tight. 😊
Groznjan isn’t just a town to visit. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, connect, and appreciate the beauty in simplicity and creativity. I can't wait to get back there.
Thank you very much for reading. In the next post, I will share some galleries and historical spots in this beautiful town.
The images and writing are original and mine.

Such a beautiful place. It looks tranquil too.. not crowded which I like.
I wish to visit Croatia someday. Hopefully, if God permits me 😊
