I remember those days as well, now it is just a few stalls that put up on the town square every monday selling junk and rubbish ( apart from one stall that sells plants)
Used to enjoy mingling with everyone in hub hub of a market place years ago, no more!
No from reading your posts I would agree
I would imagine still some lovely old markets to enjoy in rural regions.
