Amsterdam is is a fun city to walk, tram hop from place to place, not surprised mileage you did on the day, one does more than expected when we having fun!
Anne Frank was a book I was given as a birthday present by my parents when I was 16 they knew I had a love for all WW11 reading. A woman who really left an impression on me throughout my life, never give up hope. We did not find the home, not having technology back then, one really had to know before going into cities when traveling with fold out maps.
Quaint buildings, exquisite architecture, selection of food, leaves you giddy!
What stood us in good stead was knowledge of Afrikaans helped us get by, some places we could barely understand the dialect, yet other regions were able to get by in conversation, not purely sign language. My husband spoke some Dutch with his Gran and Mother as a child, it did not take us very far.... !LOLZ

I've admired Anne Frank ever since I first heard about her, what an inspiration. Especially seeing the stifling cramped conditions they lived in, yet she kept on dreaming.

Well my head feels like it's spinning at times, especially when we're hopping from one train to another, there are so many platforms as well on the bigger stations! Or onto a tram or a bus in the city, but it's great memories to take home!
Transport so very efficient, no need for a car in many places. Surrender to enjoyment, take loads of photos you will want to relive the memories later.
