The National Museum of the Philippines-Cebu, formerly known as the Aduana Building, is turned into the Malacañang sa Sugbo before until it is not used. In 2019, Evangelina Lourdes Arroyo-Bernas, chairperson of the National Museum, sent a letter to Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino expressing her interest in making this building into a museum. This led to the decision to restore and repurpose the building into the National Museum of the Philippines-Cebu until now this museum still exist and open for everyone to visit. The museum is situated next to Plaza Independencia, so it is easy to find. Aside from that, the museum has no entrance fee-free to everyone wanting to visit this amazing museum.
When I visit this museum I was amazed by the structure of the building the impressive architecture and design of the building. When I get inside the museum staff welcomed me and gives short orientation about the museum and guide me through different exhibits including fossils, minerals and other geological specimens.
Aside from that I also saw and amazed by the various artifacts from by the archaeological collections, and ethnographic collections that showcase the cultural heritage of Cebu. The fine arts collections are one of the highlights of my visit to the museum. It includes paintings, sculptures, and other artworks by renowned Filipino artists. This museum provides a unique opportunity to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines and Cebu.
In visiting this museum, you will appreciate and gain more learning of the rich heritage of Cebu- Philippines and see how it has evolved. It gives me pride to see how our ancestors do their amazing traditions and culture that are being passed by from generation to generation. So, if you want to learn the history of Cebu and are interested in Philippine history and culture, you must visit this museum.

This is such a good review of the National Museum of the Philippines that is located in Cebu! Upon reading, I sensed excitement and appreciation for the museum’s architecture and cultural significance. It's good to hear as well that the museum staff were welcoming and helpful in providing insights. I mean, other museums would just let you do the reading and discover. Daghang Salamat. Muchas Gracias. Thank you for sharing your experience. A great reminder to visit and appreciate our history.
