Danang is well-known as the city of bridges. These impressive designed bridges not only contribute to the economic development but also become the must-visit destinations together with other places attracting million travelers to Danang.
Can you guess which bridges these are? If you have ever had the opportunity to cross these bridges, do not hesitate to share those photos in the comment. I'm very happy if you can share those wonderful moments in my post hehe
1. Dragon Bridge
As a unique bridge in Vietnam, Dragon Bridge has become a symbol of Da Nang city that no visitor can miss. However, few people understand the history of Da Nang Dragon Bridge
As the name suggests, the Dragon Bridge with the shape of a dragon is 666m long and 37.5m wide across the Han River. With a cost of nearly 1.5 billion VND, the bridge has six lanes and was first opened to traffic on March 29, 2013 on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang city.
The dragon's tail is stylized with the shape of a blooming lotus, a traditional flower associated with a peaceful village in Vietnam. The dragon's body curls out to the sea, expressing Da Nang's desire to integrate with friends from five continents.
For Da Nang tourists, along with learning the history of Da Nang Dragon Bridge, admiring the fire-breathing Dragon Bridge is one of the most interesting moments. Fortunately, you can see this amazing performance every weekend for free. Regularly every 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday, Dragon Bridge will show locals and tourists with a wonderful performance of water and fire.
When the bridge starts spewing fire, vehicles will not be allowed to travel on the bridge. So you can enjoy the performance right on the bridge. However, you should not stand near the dragon's head if you do not want to get wet hehe

2. Thuan Phuoc Bridge
Located in a very special location, Thuan Phuoc Bridge is located at the end of the Han River across Da Nang Bay and connects to Son Tra Peninsula.
On July 19, 2009, Thuan Phuoc bridge was officially opened to traffic with a total length of 1,856m, of which the length of the bridge with iron wire is 655m long and the bridge leading to the two ends of Thuan Phuoc and Son Tra is 600m long on each side. The bridge is 18m wide with 4 lanes (cars and motorbikes), 2 walkways and 2 paths for bicycles and rudimentary vehicles.
Thuan Phuoc Bridge was started construction in 2003 and took nearly 6 years to complete
Not only that, when night falls on the romantic Han River, Thuan Phuoc Bridge becomes more brilliant than ever under the colored lights, further enhancing the shimmering and charming beauty of a young and dynamic city. Many people have called Thuan Phuoc bridge a silk strip crossing the Han River, especially charming when the night falls, when the lights are lit.
