Hey Hive hoomans welcome back to my hive ventures! Today, I'm so excited to share with you this amazing adventure we had at BALDOZA RIVER in brgy. Cabatangan Talisay City.It can be located few meters away from a famous resort, the (Campuestohan Highland Resort)known as one of the good tourist spot here in Negros. Right there, just a few meters away, you can experience this cold and refreshing river. It's like nature's own little oasis, perfect for anyone looking to relax and cool off.
But, a short tips for you. If you've got a weak heart, maybe just press the button (pass) because Imagine hiking down a mountain to relax in a cold river . Going down feels easy because it's downhill, but remember, what goes down must come up. Climbing back up can be tough, especially since you're going against gravity. So, if you're not up for a challenging climb back, maybe it's best to hard pass on this adventure.
By the way let me tell you, this trip was totally unplanned. I was just invited by my boyfriend to grab lunch at this local coffee shop in Brgy. Granada with his friends.
At first, I was a bit shy, you know, meeting new people and all. But turns out, they were all awesome, and before we knew it, someone suggested we go for a little hike to check out that river I was talking earlier. And hey, who am I to say no to an adventure, right? They didn’t even hesitate to say no, because of the heat index here in Bacolod.
So, we grabbed some pork and ingredients for grilling along the way, and before we had to hike down that river we had to pay 400 pesos for the tour guide because it is really required and that it is also one of their source of income. The larger group of friends you have the better, because you can split the 400 pesos. Going down the mountain, I enjoyed the view at the same time you have to ensure your safety by holding tight onto rope. next thing you know, we're by the river, his friends were grilling pork while others were enjoying the refreshing dip in the water. Afterward, we all gathered for lunch and generously shared our food with our tour guide. Following that delicious meal, we took a brief rest before we dip again one more time in the cold water.
As I made my way back, I was holding a bottle of water, feeling exhausted and unable to take another step. After a short rest, I gathered the strength to continue climbing. Whispering to myself encouragingly ("You can do it, remember how much you enjoyed earlier"), I pressed on, and I had no regrets, of course. Upon reaching our motorcycle, I met a little pup whose gentle kisses seemed to congratulate me for my return. Despite his adorable nature and his attempts to follow me, I simply hugged him goodbye, knowing it would be considered dognapping if I were to take him along in my bag, right? Haha!
It was one of those spontaneous moments that turned into the best memories. So, if you're ever in the area and up for some fun, definitely check out Baldoza river near at campuestohan highland resort. You won't regret it!
