Everyone can benefit from spending time in nature, especially when it's pure and undisturbed by any human intervention. Here you can see one of my favorite spots on my hiking trail. This is on the southernmost shoreline of Africa, in the Western Cape province. This region is known as the Garden Route, renowned for its pristine environment and numerous outdoor tourist attractions.
Today the waterfall is in full flow and you can see it pouring over the edge and down to sea level below. We are just a few yards from the sea shore itself, where the fresh rain water pours into Indian ocean. This is a great place for meditation of for becoming calm and peaceful. One can really gain a sense of good health in this place.
In today's world, where we spend so much time at our computers or screens indoors, it really helps to balance the schedule by taking a few hours to go out into natural surroundings. This is a long term aid to longevity and to maintain good health and a good mindset. I highly recommend finding such a place near to you where you can also tap in to the benefits of nature. I am in my element here, as you can see in the video clip and consider this to be one of the best places on the planet right now.
If you have something similar near to you, then consider yourself very fortunate. If not, then you might consider relocating out of the big cities and suburbs and finding a healthier region in which to base yourself. It will pay off in the long term. To me the sense of spaciousness, along with fresh air and wide open space is more important than anything else for my own peace of mind and good health.
Reaching this waterfall is quite easy. I simply hike along the cliff top and follow the trail until it reaches this gorge and the river. From here I can also climb back up the gorge on the other side and then down another path that takes me to the sea shore itself down below. It's just a few minutes of hiking down a steep slope and I'm on the rocky beach below this waterfall. There I can see it pouring over the edge and flowing into the sea. It's a truly beautiful region of the African south coast in this Garden Route tourist hotspot.
Despite being such a famous holiday destination, not many visitors or even locals know about this waterfall or how to reach it, so I'm one of the few who access the place to enjoy it's ambiance. If you ever get the chance to make a trip to the south coast of Africa then feel free to look me up or make contact and I will be happy to show you these lesser known treasure spots on the Cape south coast.
