A trip with the family to Villa de Aguas claras, Viñales, Cuba (en/es)

Today I want to take you to Villa Aguas Claras, Pinar del Rio, Cuba. It is a very nice place where you can spend a few days of rest in contact with nature. If it is hot, you can take advantage of it very well because it has a beautiful swimming pool and the breeze sneaks through the trees to cool the atmosphere. Now I'm not going to take a bath, I'll show you the place and I'm sure you will want to visit it.

The gates, both the parking and the pedestrian walkway, have a very simple but nice design, surrounded by vegetation that welcomes you to the Villa. Then right there next to the entrance there is a small bridge where young girls often take pictures. The cabins and the pool of the Villa are distributed in several elevations where you have to go up or down depending on where you want to go.

Here from the top I can see the cabins mixed among the palm trees. I go down the stairs and I find the swimming pool. It invites to swim because there is a strong sun, but I tell you a secret, I prefer to swim in the sea. Here I enjoy the green surroundings, the buildings, the shows and the food offered at the Aguas Claras ranchón. The ranchón is a kind of rustic construction, made of wood and guano, which are the leaves or stalks of the royal palm. It recreates a country atmosphere typical of the Cuban countryside.

We continue walking, look at the curious fountains with sculptures that look Egyptian, trying to replicate on a smaller scale the Great Sphinx of Giza in the pyramids of Egypt. Then I look at another one that has a girl hugging a fish as a fountain. Both fountains are out of water and need some paint as well. The leaves falling from the trees rest on the fountains.

Some of the cabins are under repair, and the materials from the construction are deposited in the courtyard. Even so, the view is very nice. We continue walking and I meet Alice from Lewis Carroll's Wonderland, she is in front of a castle, but she is growing and no longer fits through the door. It's a joke, it's the little girl Lauren, daughter of our friend and singer Yaimara Ramirez and my wife when she saw her in front of the little door called her Alice, her mother and I laughed a lot. I want to clarify that mother and daughter are in agreement that I publish this photo.

We continue walking, don't worry, I am already looking at the ranchón where we are going to sit. There we will enjoy traditional Cuban peasant music, Yaimara Ramirez on facebook Mara Ramirez will sing. There will also be beer, fried chicken and wonderful conversation. I really need to sit down. Hoy les quiero llevar a la Villa Aguas Claras, Pinar del Río, Cuba. Es un lugar muy bonito donde se puede pasar unos días de descanso en contacto con la naturaleza. Si hay calor se aprovecha muy bien porque tiene una hermosa piscina y la brisa se cuela entre los árboles para refrescar el ambiente. Ahora no me voy a bañar, les muestro el lugar y seguro tendrán deseos de visitarlo.

Las puertas, tanto la del parqueo cómo la de paso peatonal, tienen un diseño muy sencillo pero agradable, rodeada de vegetación que da la bienvenida a la Villa. Luego allí mismo pegadito a la entrada un pequeño puente donde las jóvenes suelen tirarse fotos. Las cabañas y la piscina de la Villa están distribuidas en varias elevaciones por la que hay que subir o bajar según al lugar que uno quiera.

Aquí desde lo alto veo las cabañas mezcladas entre las palmas. Bajo la escalera y me encuentro con la piscina. Invita a bañarse porque hay un sol fuerte, pero les cuento un secreto, prefiero bañarme en el mar. Aquí mejor me recreo con el verde del entorno, las edificaciones, los espectáculos y la comida que ofrecen en el ranchón de Aguas Claras. El ranchón es una especie de construcción rústica, de madera y guano, que son las hojas o pencas de la palma real. Recrea un ambiente campestre y propio de los campos de Cuba.

Seguimos caminando, miren que fuentes tan curiosas tienen unas esculturas que parecen egipcias, intentando se réplicas a menor escala de la Gran Esfinge de Giza en las pirámides de Egipto. Luego miro otra que tiene como surtidor una niña abrazada a un pez. Las dos fuentes, están sin agua y necesitan también un poco de pintura. Las hojas que caen de los árboles descansan en las fuentes.

Algunas cabañas están en reparación, se ven los materiales de construcciones depositados en el patio. Aún así la vista es muy bonita. Seguimos caminando y me encuentro a Alicia la del país de las maravillas, la de Lewis Carroll, está frente a un castillo, pero está creciendo y ya no cabe por la puerta. Es una broma, es la niña Lauren, hija de nuestra amiga y cantante Yaimara Ramírez y mi esposa al verla frente la pequeña puerta la llamó Alicia, su mamá y yo reímos mucho.
