The Great Patriotic War has left an indelible tragic mark on the history of the Slavic (and not only) people. Fascist wanted to kill millions of people. In fact, this part of the criminal, anti-human conception Nazis were able to make. War of 1941 - 1945. I caught every corner of the former Sov6etskogo Union. Sorrow, pain and tears went into every house. Only the heroism of our ancestors allowed to destroy a fascist.

In Kotovsk (Podolsk), there are several monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. But it is near Walk of Fame is the main, a grand memorial.

We see a soldier who will not part with the weapon even in moments of sorrow. He bowed his head and remembers all his comrades and military friends, who did not return from the battlefields. At that moment he did not think about the most wins. It overwhelms the pain of loss.

My ancestors fought against the fascists. With German and Romanian occupiers. My great-grandfather was missing. His remains were not found to this day. Already grandparents do not have on this earth. But still, the grandfather still lives in our hearts. The second great-grandfather was a prisoner. He was able to escape and get back to defend the homeland.

On the monument and plates, which are located on both sides of the memorial inscribed with the names of those who fought for the freedom of the Odessa region. In particular, in the land where I was born and raised.

Here we see an image of St. George. He helped our soldiers to defeat the bloodthirsty enemy. Over fascist, who acted with monstrous methods. Destroyed millions of people. They were taken to concentration camps, hundreds were shot on the spot, and so on. All the atrocities did not even tell me. Just scary to remember.

So, I wanted to show the Walk of Fame in Podolsk (Kotovsk). But one material did not. Not always desire can be correlated with the possibilities.

In the end I want to tell you about the liberation of the city. March 31, 1944 Kotovsk was released from the Nazis. City released the 53 army of the second Ukrainian Front. Exemption Kotovsk occurred within uman-botoşani offensive. Later, I will discuss the commanders and soldiers who liberated our city. In particular, Tarasov and his fighters.
