Hi Shiners! It’s good to return for another experience I want to share with you. I hope all of you guys are doing well. This time, I want to share an adventure I had in one of the most beautiful provinces in the Philippines – Atok, Benguet.
Northern Blossom Flower Farm is a famous tourist spot in Atok, Benguet. It offers a wide variety of stunning flower fields. I got a chance to visit this place last December 2023. It was one of the coldest months in the Philippines, so the timing was also cold.
As someone who is used to the tropical temperature in the Philippines, I feel cold easily. So, even though I want to show an outfit of the day, I cannot. Since then, I have prioritized my health. Well, it’s also a good choice since a hoodie, pants, and comfy slippers are the best combination to enjoy traveling.
I went to this place with my boyfriend and his family. Next time, I will share our amazing relationship in our upcoming blog posts. It was a family trip before Christmas Day. We rented a van because my boyfriend has a big family and a car wouldn't fit us all. The van first picked us up in GMA, Cavite, and we went straight to Pasig City to pick up his parents, who live there because of their jobs. We helped load the food his mom prepared and picked up a few things for our staycation.
It was a long travel time so we made sure that we won’t get hungry on the way there. The van was filled with different stories and excitement that were waiting for our adventures there. It was a long drive, so I just found myself taking naps in between. The temperature got colder as we approached Baguio City. There were more adventures about it, and we will be talking about them in a separate blog. I took my chance to enjoy the view and even took pictures and videos. I was amazed at how relaxing it was to see many green trees around me. Even though I couldn't smell the air, since the windows were closed, I could still feel that it was purely fresh air.
After long hours, we finally reached the Northern Blossom Farm. There were many tourists, and as I stepped out of the van, it was amazingly cold. I didn’t have a choice but to find something comfortable that I could wear. The farm had an entrance fee, so we waited for Ate Rissa (the oldest sister) to pay for all of us. As I’ve said, there were many people, so we waited for a couple of minutes. The long wait was over, and a tour guide welcomed us. It was a good thing since the guide asked first if there were people who had medicine maintenance or if someone had high blood pressure since he said that the air was thin inside the farm since it was indeed in a high place. As part of taking care of the farm, he instructed us that taking pictures and videos is allowed, but not flower-picking.
After the short orientation, he let us explore the farm at our own pace. There were also people in different stations who were there if you needed someone to take a group photo of your family. They were all so kind and approachable. Some of them are really good at taking pictures.
I found myself enjoying the amazing view, and the flowers were all amazingly fragrant. Being there helped me realize how amazing our creator is. It was so beautiful that when you look at the place, they may seem like paintings or just photographs. You will surely enjoy the view, and the temperature was also good. It was a long walk since the farm was a big one. You can see different flowers in different colors. I wished I could stay there for a long time. When you are on the farm, your worries will not even cross your mind. After roaming around, the farm offered us a cup of hot black coffee and some bread. It was one of the most amazing adventures I have had in my life.
I hope all of you, SHINERS, can also experience the wonderful place of Northern Blossom Farm. I highly suggest putting it on your bucket list. I assure you that you won’t regret it, once you experience the blissful place.
