RE: Kings Park and Botanic Garden, Perth, Western Australia

Were you tempted to stay @kansuze ? There is a lot of talk about Canzuk, free trade and also free movement of people between UK, Aust, Can and NZ...hoping they get a deal sooner rather then later...

Every time I travel, I ask myself that question. I really liked Tasmania and didn't get enough time in any other place but Hobart is a little small and it's kind of like visiting the cottage where they have everything you need but not all of the selection you are used to. I spent 2 weeks in Perth and it was so hot, 41 C one day, so that's too warm but it was their summer. I suspect I would like their winter and probably the east coast of Australia. And because of the lockdown, I didn't get to explore the nightlife. Ottawa area had open mic and jam nights all over the city so I would hope to find one or two. Our dollar went a little further there and some things were cheaper AND the sales tax was built in so no sticker shock at the cash register.

It sounds and looks like quite an experience....thats the way to do it, go for a few months.... every time I vacation I always wish I booked for longer then I did...lol

It was worth it even with the Covid lockdown.

That's interesting about Canzuk, new to me.
