Mielno is one of the most famous seaside tourist cities in Poland. I prefer smaller and less crowded cities, so Mielno appeared on my summer route only as a transit city. We stopped here for a while as I wanted to buy a swim mattress, which I forgot to take from home and after a long walk in search of a mattress (it turned out not that easy to find) we drove on.
Mielno jest znanym miastem turystycznym na wybrzeżu, aczkolwiek ja preferuję mniejsze i mniej zatłoczone nadmorskie miejscowości, dlatego Mielno pojawiło się na mojej wakacyjnej trasie tylko jako miasto przejazdowe. Zatrzymaliśmy się tu na chwilę, bo chciałam kupić materac do pływania, którego zapomniałam wziąć z domu i po długim spacerze w poszukiwaniu materaca (okazało się, że nie tak łatwo było go znaleźć) pojechaliśmy dalej.
In the center there is a nice deer monument. Many people take a souvenir photo with it.
W centrum znajduje się sympatyczny pomnik jelenia. Wielu turystów robi sobie z nim pamiątkowe zdjęcie.
In Mielno, you can come across souvenir tents every now and then. I can see sellers selling weirder and stranger things. The weirdest product on sale was colorful hair shimmering in intense neon colors. Sometimes I am tempted by a soft toy, e.g. a seal, or some other coastal animal, or a fridge magnet, but most of these souvenirs are not my cup of tea.
W Mielnie co chwila można natknąć się na namioty z pamiątkami. Widzę, że sprzedawcy sprzedają coraz dziwniejsze rzeczy. Najdziwniejszym produktem w sprzedaży były kolorowe włosy mieniące się w intensywnych, neonowych kolorach. Ja czasami daję się skusić na pluszaka, np. fokę, albo jakieś inne nadmorskie zwierzę, albo magnes na lodówkę, ale większość z tych pamiątek to nie moja bajka.
I like souvenirs that I can find much more - e.g. some interesting stone, or stones resembling amber, just like this summer - you can read about my amber finds here. Apart from that, photos and pictures that I sometimes paint when I'm traveling are great souvenirs.
O wiele bardziej lubię pamiątki, które sama znajdę - np. jakiś ciekawy kamień, albo tak jak w te wakacje kamienie przypominające bursztyn tu możecie przeczytać o moich bursztynowych znaleziskach. Poza tym wspaniałymi pamiątkami są zdjęcia i obrazki, które zdarza mi się namalować, gdy jestem w podroży.
There were crowds of people in the streets. I am glad that we went further - to Unieście to the beach, because I imagine that in Mielno it was probably very crowded on the beaches. There are probably supporters of such more popular places, where more is going on, and like me - less known places, where you can easily find a nice place on the beach, near the sea.
Na ulicach były tłumy ludzi. Cieszę się, że pojechaliśmy dalej - do Unieścia na plażę, bo wyobrażam sobie, że w Mielnie pewnie na plażach było bardzo tłoczno. Pewnie są zwolennicy i takich bardziej popularnych miejsc, gdzie więcej się dzieje oraz podobnie jak ja - mniej znanych miejsc, gdzie bez problemu można znaleźć fajne miejsce na plaży, niedaleko morza.
In addition to the typical seaside places where you can eat, i.e. fish bars, waffle booths or ice cream shops, I saw a lot of kebab booths, an amusement park, vending machines, which, after hitting with a hand with great force, you can get a prize, as well as people driving around the city on go-karts .
Oprócz typowych nadmorskich miejsc, gdzie można zjeść, czyli smażalni ryb, budek z goframi, czy lodziarni widziałam dużo budek z kebabami, wesołe miasteczko, automaty, w które po uderzeniu ręką z ogromną siłą można otrzymać nagrodę, a także ludzi jeżdżących po mieście na gokartach.

Hi @katiefreespirit ,I see a lot of people on the streets as you say in the post, I like the bottles and key rings that I see as souvenirs, I suppose you bought some of the toys like the dolphin, well I think so, I liked reading that I chose Mielno not to being very surrounded by people, but with the fun event I think it was a bit complicated.
Hi @lupega 😊 These amber bottles are cool. I think that everyone will find something for themselves in these souvenir shops. Depending on what we need on vacation, Mielno can be a wonderful or not very nice place. I prefer peace and quiet, but if someone likes entertainment, he will have a place to hang out in Mielno 😎
