thank you a lot:) i googled it a bit, and i think i found something that makes sense for me haha. For Christians, the eastward direction was very important in the past. It is also called "Ostung". The orientation has to do with the direction of prayer to the east. They wanted to pray thus to the rising sun. The pray in the direction of the east is an old tradition. ;)

It makes sense. Muslims also pray facing the sun, If I'm not mistaken.
