After touring the area of birds, the next day, I headed to my favorite place, the place of vegetables. But before I went to the garden, we first went to the beach to walk and see the vast ocean. I found this to be a great place to fish.
Maybe I will come here with my friends to fish on vacation or holiday. This place is also so far away that the trip takes more than 30 minutes from our place. Below you will find the map and the exact location of the place.
The Fruit and Vegetable Farm
As soon as you enter the gate and walk the pathway, on the right, you will pass some freshly picked vegetables sold at a cheap price. There are beans, bitter gourd, pickles, melons, silk squash and many more.
And because there are so many chickens and ducks, they also have so many eggs for sale. And according to them, what they feed their animals are dried herbs and vegetables or fruits from their garden. In other words, eggs are really healthy and rich in vitamins as well as chicken and duck meats.
The Melon Plantation
A huge melon plantation first appeared in front of me when I entered a 6-meter-long plant arch. Some melons are just rotting, and because of their quantity they can no longer be harvested. It is not wasted, as it benefits the animals and fertilizes the soil for the next vegetables and fruits to be planted.
Surprisingly in this melon plantation, the soil used here is not soil as we often use in plants. Because what they use here is refined orange sand that is not mixed with even small stones.
You are just walking around the melon orchard, you can already smell its sweetness. The size of the melon varies, there are big and small like I hold in the picture. I was inspired to plant a melon or watermelon, maybe at the end of December I will plant. For now, we will harvest 4 pumpkins at home.
The Bitter Gourd Plantation
The Bitter Gourd plantation area is huge, with 3 types of Bitter Gourd. A white color, pure green, and a long without curve at skin in Bitter Gourd.
Over the past few months, I have been cultivating Bitter Gourd and it has produced so much fruit that even its leaves are very useful. Its leaves and fruits are delicious to mix with other cuisines. The fruit can be mixed with eggs with onion and tomato, just add a little salt and pepper and it is a dish. It can also be made into a salad, just do not squeeze it so that it does not taste bitter.
The Silk Squash
Silk Squash in Tagalog in the Philippines is "Patola". But the Patola in the Philippines is big and hanging on the trunk, unlike the Patola here in the UAE where the tree is very small and you will actually pick it from the branches of the tree.
Surprisingly, this Patola is planted under the hanging Bitter Gourd. I want to learn how to plant it, because right now, I only have eggplant seeds that are as tall as Patola when it grows.
You can see in the picture how low the plant is and it has flowers. Do you see the brown sand that the plant grows? Strange Isn't it? I dug the sand and it turned deep. Maybe there is one meter thick or deep sand placed to plant, different types of plants that can live in the middle east.
And then all day, before we left the place, we bought Ampalaya, Beans, and duck eggs that I would make salted eggs. The duck egg is unique because its skin is so thick that even with a crack it does not break easily.
